Over or Under: The secondary gets 2 picks today/ The pass rush racks up 4 sacks

I'm putting my life savings on the under for the picks. I'll take the over on the sacks though, because I'm feeling good about this.

You know things never go as planned around here but I'm still taking the under

I would expect some extreme vanilla defense this game.. More or less just enough to get by..

So going into NO after a bye we can start a run

Here's to hoping he gets sole work keeping the bench warm for the real players

Haters are going to hate. He had a great game at corner last week

Yeah he did alright, I just couldn't help myself with my hyperbolic armchair coaching

Way too early to call Elam a bust, but do you guys think we'll resign him from his rookie contract at the rate he's been playing?

Go Ravens! Please don't let this be one of those games where we play down to the level of a 2-7 opponent and score nothing in the first half. Start strong, end stronger!

Well, luckily for you, and most Ravens fans, I doubt he gets any reps at safety

For the role player contract, sure

That's actually probably for the best for him though. I think most of his problem is mental and he is having to process too much right now. Hopefully if he gets dialed back, he can begin processing things better and build a better foundation to be a starter

I thought they could do that right away...  put Elam in at corner.... I mean we have Hill in there now...  but what do I know?  He did great there.

I would definitely agree it's mental. Having to play so many different positions and make all the calls has to be tough. Playing him only at nickel or rover would be great. He's great in the box and blitzing. He's probably not worth the first round pick if he never really develops his coverage, but I think he could stick around as a role player

His tackling (or lack thereof) still worries me though. He got to the qb several times last weekbut couldn't produce a sack. I'm willing to chalk that up to the dirty burger being a tough sack than elams playing though

I think part of that is Ben is so hard to tackle and Elam is not a big guy. Not many defensive backs will get him down. I also am very worried about his tackling. You can still hit big and wrap up. Torpedo tackles are dangerous for health and missed tackles
