I enjoyed NFL Europe same rules and all made it the real thing unlike that CFL garbage

NFL Europe was the minor leagues for the NFL, which was fine, but not enough of a fan base to make it work, they will fold....I just think it is to much of a distraction for NFL teams to have to travel, and not really having a home field advantage which is crucial...If anything the Europeans should set up their own brand of American football, and take on the risk, and financial responsibilities...JMO

It would be nice to see them play a game in London one day so I can finally visit a Ravens game :D

I just have to have some more patience I guess.

well....if Goodell really wanted to sell it, he would schedule a Ravens-Pit game, if the fans saw the hate, and the brawls, they might be more keen to the idea of having a NFL team...ha ha ha....:)

It's good for Florida teams, who don't have home field advantage. The hell, Dolphins even typically do better on their away games if what my friend tells me it's true :D As much as I would find it easier to travel to a game in London, than crossing the ocean to Baltimore, I don't think it's a good idea for Ravens. No one has quite the fans like purple and black :)

I did read online that the lease terms for the Ravens Stadium make it illegal for the Ravens to play a home game outside the state of MD, so at least we know that if we ever do play in London, it will be a road game.

Frankly, I'm all for it. A road game on a neutral field? I'll take that any day of the week.

Maybe for the tremendous amount of expats that can't afford to fly home or for the humungous number of foreign fans. I'm Slovak, living in Czech Republic and ever since I got into the game, I play for the ladies team, I help out our guys, watch every Ravens game I can manage, including the Thursday and Monday games which start way after midnight in my timezone and I watch college football too.

So yeah, that's why they push it. London has plenty expats and people fly there for the NFL games from all over Europe. The difference being a flight ticket to London can cost like a pair of jeans on a low fare airline and can be a round trip with no hotel, while flying to the US costs more than a monthly rent ;)

Yes, but the most important aspect to going overseas is NOT actually having games there.. its to get people in Europe to watch on TV. NFL teams would mostly still be profitable in the US even if they played in front of empty stadiums.

Personally, I hope they NEVER play in London, who wants to watch football at 9:00 AM!

I do, as long as its not my team.

Why wouldn't you want like 15-16 hours of straight football on a Sunday?

NFL can give the UK the Jags or the Raiders, both Cali and Flordia have 3 nfl teams and both those franchises are a lost cause.

Better 9am on a weekend than 2:30am on a weekday :D

I enjoyed the 9:00 am game, it was a nice gap filler prior to the 1pm game.  But like someone else said, I don't want the Ravens playing in London.

If the Ravens ever go to London, I hope it is a road game. I personally think no team should lose a home game. It's like playing 9 road games and 7 home game, it's not fair. Especially if you are the road team and London cheers for you the most, then that team has 9 home games.

My take on London and the Ravens, is that I would only want them to be the Road Team going to London, and never be the Home Team, as they have NO, repeat NO advantage as they have at M&T with our great fans. I truly hope Steve B sees this comment, and takes that to heart, that to agree to go to London would only be if they were the Road Team, period.

OrganisedChaos2- That is the only way we can play in London, as a road team. thankfully our stadium contract has it written in it that we will always play in Bmore

Is it a obligation that all teams play at least 1 game in London? I'm trying to figure out how teams get selected to play over there. I know Jacksonville has a 4 year agreement to play at least 1 game over there but they have poor attendance and don't sell out there home games so I can understand their case.

Something like.. lots of us european fans.

Having ONE chance in a lifetime to see them live would be awesome for me.

Pit game was at 2.30 and despite the result and the three hours of sleep (the day before an exam) I would do it all again and again.

Don't believe so. In general, I think they are using teams with "less than stellar" home-field attendance track records recently to send over there. I'm sure at some point they will start moving towards setting up some sort of feasible rotation for all teams to go over there, but I don't think there's anything so far.

I know some owners (I think the Rooney's did this with the Steelers) have sort of volunteered to play over there for a game, because they recognize the income benefit for doing so.
