The refs were in the Steelers back pockets the whole game. Taht being said, even if they weren't we still wouldn't have won.

Can't know that. Playing a tie game and being down three scores are very different things.

Torrey caught that early TD but honestly it feels like he's back in his rookie year as a one trick pony go deep or go home.

Flacco got hit a few times and he had that deer in headlight look for some passes were he was feeling pass rush before it got to him and he began pumping the ball holding it longer. That int its like man I want you to throw the ball away live to play another day but how you not throw it away correctly is beyond me.

Monroe and Osemele james Harrison must feel like it's 09 or 10 after this game with yall

We all knew we needed some wr before the season and what does the FO do? Bring in a 35 yr old wr(yes he's a beast) but he was supposed to be our number 2 guy. We have no weapons and Flacco is trying too hard and sucking. And the defense man Webb is lost and doesn't look like he's giving an effort. And we have no CBS again another position we should have drafted. Yes I'm thankful for Mosley but we had other pressing needs. Way to go ravens getting blowned out on prime time and letting Ben break a record noice!

I just knew we was going to trade for a cb or wr before the deadline, but we didnt, franks and brown are horrible, to be honest if you are not jimmy they are all horrible......torrey is not a 1 or a 2 and the rest of them can't do anything......and dean pees keep the cbs off the wrs for eternity

hard to beat the Refs and the Steelers....crap game. Crap league. Until stuff like this is taken care of, i cannot take the NFL seriously. Refs dictating the outcome of Raven games 2 weeks in a row....

Please explain how the refs aided the Steelers to victory?! After Taliaferro's fumble, the entire team looked pathetic.

I'm sorry, and I NEVER say this, but the Ravens should formally protest the game.   The refs reminded me of the scene in Remember the Titans before the defensive coach threatened them.

Some of it was completely blatant.   When you even have Cris Collinsworth saying that the Steelers didn't get the first down, you KNOW they didn't.   And the refs gave it to them.

It was a complete job tonight.

The game was going good until Taliferro fumbled and Flacco threw that terrible interception immediately after. Those 2 turnovers COMPLETLEY changed the momentum. Let's just admit it, Flacco sucks on the Road.

Lot of complaints.

Joe didn't look too sharp. A lot of his throws were off and not well placed. Have to wonder if it was because...

The offensive line was piss poor. Monroe, KO, and Zuttah all blocked terribly and couldn't pick up up a blitz to save their lives. Maybe they would have been helped if...

The receivers could get open. Ike Taylor and Cortez Allen are either out or hardly playing and so the Steelers are basically running their third and fourth corners, but the Ravens receivers can't get open? Not to mention Polamalu and Shazier went out. The Ravens need to do something about this lack of separation because when you can't do it with four of the starting pass coverage options are out, something is wrong. Sad that secondary could cover when...

The Ravens secondary couldn't cover. Webb got route only worked, the chemistry in zone was massively off, and Daryl Smith looked so slow. Jimmy is going to get PAID because he's just so valuable. Still, the defense set themselves up for multiple chances at turnovers, but failed to make any of them. Probably had about three or four dropped interceptions, which would have been huge.

The referees were awful. I'm usually not one to complain about the referees, but the penalties on the brawls were soft when both teams are punching and shoving. I didn't think Suggs deserved a flag. He shouldn't hit a runner that isn't down? Mosley got a terrible PI call on a beautiful pass deflection. That botched challenge, which was so easy to see, cost the Ravens majorly. If the Ravens had rightfully gotten the ball (pending a punt), they'd have a chance to score a touchdown and make it a five point game. Instead, it's a touchdown and a 19 point game. Massive swing. And how many flags did the Steelers get away with? So much holding. Lots of push offs by the Steelers receivers. I don't remember the final outcome of this drive, but Steve got completely arm barred in the end zone on a deep pass. Referees were abysmal

We can't beat good teams right now. With some talented QBs on deck, I don't see us getting past ten wins, and I'm Mr. Optimistic. Our secondary is just so depleted and our offense is ordinary.

The good thing is, our divisional games are out of the way outside of the last one with Cleveland. And we have to play some talented teams in the next several weeks. It will really tell us where we are and if we even deserve to be in the playoffs.

After that game, I just can't imagine the game in New Orleans. Unless we just break Brees' line every play. Jimmy Graham? Brandin Cooks?

not going to explain this to you. When the tv commentators are questioning the refs calls on live television, you know something is up. Even they, Chris in particular who doesn't even like the Ravens, were laughing at some of the blatant missed calls and bad calls against the Ravens. Players and coaches wont say anything...they are getting paid. But as a fan of the sport its hard to watch it deteriorate to this....

Really?  You didn't see the non calls on the Steelers?  their online holding Suggs and Doom???  The blatant receiver throwing Webb down???  I could go on.  but many bogus calls on us...  lots of no calls giving them additional downs...  come on.....

People who want to get rid of Flacco are insane.... There are 15+ teams in the league who basically play QB carousel every year. Do you really want to go back to that? You know, the way we were before Flacco?

It's time for Suggs to step up or shut up. We need much more pressure generated up front to help the secondary

And We've had our fun with Flacco. Maybe its time to move him along and get another young Gunslinger.

come on. You can't play like that and win. we let a senior citizen terrorize our qb for the whole game, and practically handed them 14 points. Not to mention the play of the defense.

-Torrey smith imo doesn't play physical enough plain and simple he gets no yac.

The secondary is bad but they in all honestly are banged up without smith or jackson they kept too many safeties it really was a HUGE blow last week when he got injured. I don't think webb will ever be himself again.

We need to get younger and more physical at corner and WO

The one thing I did like though was the fights and physicality of the game the true bloodbath rivalry is back...

I wasn't able to watch the game from start to finish, but did get to watch big chunks of it .... and what kept me perplexed all game is that KO and Monroe were half a step late the entire game and getting schooled by Harrison.  If not in this game, then at what point does Kubiak call for max protect and get someone back there to take some heat off of Flacco and give him time.  What does it take to get a TE or RB back there just to give him time.

Second, at what point do our receivers learn that when the QB is flushed out of the pocket, it might be a good idea to work your way back to give him targets and not just run side to side?  That was a strange game all the way around .. didn't understand half of it.

People tend to have very short memories...  Grbac, Boller just to name 2.

Can't believe people are blaming the refs. Were they terrible? Absolutely. However, they are not the reason we lost. Look at the game overall. Name one facet of the game where we played well. I bet you can't. We simply did not execute. Regardless of the refs, the team as a whole played a terrible game. That's the reason we lost, not the refs.

The botched challenge was the worst of it. That play was more obvious than the Steelers challenge but they only got one right. It was all shameful.

im tired of lamenting and criticizing coaches or players. I don't see how the secondary could have performed much better with our talent. I thought Hill looked good. Webb had his moments, but his change of direction skills are not where they once were. Elam was pretty quiet.  Franks and Brown are 5th rounders respectively and they played like it. Looking back, not sure how we could have done better in the offseason without overspending. We tried to get flowers but we know how that went.  Getting the roster to be elite again will take time. I think one more solid draft can get us over the top.

I would just like someone in the locker room to tell it like it is....listening to the postgame Harbs and Joe sound very mature, very professional, and TOTALLY disonnected. Mind you, I don't want Chicken Little, but someone needs to say, "look we put that garbage on the field and we don't make the playoffs, we don't make the playoffs and guys are out of jobs, SO let's start playing for our jobs, for ourselves, and build a hardnose team identity for each other." Ugh. So tired of the monotone rationalization of medicroity..."we got to make plays, it is a long season, we will bounce back" while true it sure as heck ain't motivating this team. Again, 1 game above .500 since SB 47. UNACCEPTABLE!

Does this loss count as Joe's loss too?  You know, since Joe takes that title of being 'the most winningest QB'   he sure is heating up with 2 INT, 2 INT, 1 INT back to back to back stinkers.

Fire Kubiak excuse anyone?
