Yup- there is no proof anywhere of bias by the refs! Nope, none at all........

Your second video hurts your case, not helps it. If you actually watched the play and zoomed in (which this video conveniently doesn't, and they showed this exact same player like 4 times on TV), you'll notice that you only see one of Antonio Brown's arms (his left). That's because his right arm is being grabbed and pulled on by Webb.

Basically, its the easiest DPI call in NFL history for any ref that sees it. You're going to have to come up with better examples than that.

Video is five seconds long and at no point is Webb even closing to holding any part of Brown.

You're going to have to come up with better than that.

The only reason Webb grabbed is because Brown had a clear push off of Webb. It was right in his chest. My guess is Webb was grabbing for balance, but I don't know. With the way the game was going, probably better to grab because if Webb had fallen from the push off, Brown would be off to the races

Harrison played like his hair was on fire. Can't blame that on anyone being scared or screwing up. Whether he's 37 or 57, dude had a career game.

can someone inquire as to whether he and his wife are having problems conceiving? Dude couldn't get on the field last year and when he did was non factor.

I hope Monroe is still hurt and that's the excuse.

What a horrible game for him.

it's killing me that we gave up two picks for this guy and then paid him. Not sure those moves weren't made out of desperation.

If he is unable to produce it unfortunately speaks to our inability to assess oline talent in two key instances recently. Ozzie drafted gradkowski, watched him develop for a full year and decided after Birk retired that we were good at center.

It now looks like monroe is not to be counted on come the crunch and is at best an average tackle.

They gave up a fourth and fifth round pick, which for a left tackle, who is 26, is really good. He played well in the preseason and to start the season, but started going downhill as the season went on, all the way to a terrible Browns game where he was questionable due to injury. My guess is he's still dealing with lingering pain. He did go out of the Bengals game at one point

The comparison between the two is what makes it so galling. However, taking the Brown push off by itself I'm not sure what to think since it was within 5 yards but as the second video showed if Webb held his ground and fought back he probably would have gotten a flag. This league...

In no way am I condoning what the refs called or saying that they're correct, but it's really important to remember that they have 1 shot at making the call at full speed.  We have the added benefit of seeing multiple replays at various speed and angles.  The refs don't have that luxury on the field.  They have to make the call as they see it.  Do I think they're wrong?  Absolutely.  However, I don't think it's reasonable for us to break some things down how we do and expect them to have that same viewpoint during the game for their one shot at making the call.

The Brown push off should have been obvious, but the Webb DPI is a tough one in the moment.

So what's the excuse for notching the challenge?

I'm not excusing it by any means.  Just pointing out that we can analyze all we want, but the refs don't always have that luxury.  I think they were wrong on the challenge though, for what it's worth.

I understand what you're saying, and I'm surprised at how they're usually right, but some of the calls are painfully bad at times

And I feel they did have some painfully bad calls in the Steelers game for sure.  However, some calls that some people are complaining about cannot be easy in the midst of the game.

Brown push off = 5 yard bump.

I'd have to watch it again to see if ball was in the air or not, but when I watched it looked like clean five yard bump.

I'm still wondering how they missed that push off on Webb in the vine, the grab on Torrey on that almost touchdown, and the challenge

If you're referring to what's in the vine, the LoS was behind the 30 and the alleged OPI occurred at almost the 40, so no where near 5 yards

Just rewatched it, LOS was the 35-36 and it happened right at the 30.

I'm going to have to watch it again because from what I remember, Webb's flag occurred as a result of Brown pushing off and that was definitely near the first down marker

At this point I'm not particularly optimistic that he is better than average. He came here with much fanfare and didn't play particularly well last year; The explanation/assumption being that it was a new team/new system and that he needed time to adjust. I can buy that but I still haven't seen a better than average tackle.

I'm seeing it as LoS at about the 29, 30 and the foul occurring around the 37. Might be one of those bang bang plays they try not to call

I'm guessing you didn't intently watch him last year because he was outstanding. Like, excellent. You can't lump him in with the rest of the offensive line. His worse game came in Chicago as a result of severe weather, but other than that, he was dynamite. I'll agree he's been a disappointment so far this season, but not at all last year

How do they get 3 straight home games? Sounds like The Cowboys schedule...anyway a 3 game home stand sounds like baseball and is a huge lift to any squad at mid-season..

But playing 4 out of the next 5 on the road in the middle of the season should even it out just a little.

The first down that was given to jen on the QB sneak is the guffaw that really sticks with me. Even after review they blew it and the game was still in reach at that point.

You know when Collinsworth is questioning calls against the Ravens they have to be the worst!
