all the sorry teams come to us. but this used to be old classic game, playing them twice a year, beating them in nashville on our way to win rays first ring.

we should be these guys. young qbs have no chance vs our defense.

we are pissed after pit game

we should rally, win this,

win out,, then , probably get 5 seed, going to cinci, beat them.

go denver, beat them, go foxboro, beat them,

go arizona, beat them superbowl!

everytime we won superbowl, we had to beat denver!!!

they always puttin den and pats in afc champ, ha ha, whatever dupe

Flacco is horrible under pressure imo.  And as you mentioned, most QB's would be except Flacco appears to be mentally out of his game when that happens.  He even mentioned that in his presser about that pick he threw vs. the Steelers.  Not bashing him!  Just stating it as I see it!  It's getting old to see him play well at home and then like trash on the road against good teams.  And defensively, I don't see the heart of a lion (in the spirit of Ray Lewis) out there!  Suggs, Doom, Ngata are good players but no Ray Lewis or Ed Reed!  Something is missing from that side of the rock and they need to fix it fast!  Now, the Titans aren't the best squad coming to town either so not pubbing them up over the Ravens.  And yet, IF the Ravens beat them, what does that solve?  Oh!  You can beat inferior teams?  Well, let's beat them and move on to 6-4 and hit the bye week for need rest, relaxation and rejuvenation!  Oh!  And then there's the Saints (on the road) waiting in the wings!  Ugh!

According to ESPN, Flacco's overall qb rating this year is 90.7, with a 2/1 TD to INT ratio, and his rating against the blitz is 91.7, with a 2/1 TD to INT ratio.  That may not be great, but it's certainly not "terrible" either. It's actually pretty good, especially considering the fact that Torrey and Jacoby have each dropped a long TD pass against a blitz. So, even with the drops, Flacco's passer rating against the blitz is still good. Without the drops, it would be great. I think you're confusing Flacco not being able to handle the blitz with the receivers not being able to beat single coverage, and dropping it too often when they do.

Thats hysterical. You dont care. You are so emphatic about firing Pees, you dont care who replaces him.

Okay send me in there then. Two or three more embarrassing losses and you will be begging for me to get fired and bring Pees back.

SMH.

Their job, not mine.

I want Pees gone as well. I miss "organized chaos". For me when I first heard Pees say the only stats that matter are red zone and 3rd down defense I got really discouraged. You showed want to kick butt on every down and statistical category. Just bring someone in with an aggressive mind set but not stupid about it either. Like Chuck Pagano.

Naw I'm not confused.  I mentioned that Flacco looks horrible to me under pressure; that means against the blitz!  As a matter of fact; even one of the Steelers coaches made the following statement about Joe on "Inside the NFL".... "He's going to scramble to his right, keep the pressure; he'll throw us the ball!"  And what did Joe do?  My position stands no stats needed!

He's made a couple pretty good throws when he scrambles to his right too just saying

Like that OPI crap call TD

Hurrying a QB is definitely a proven way to force interceptions. It especially affect those QBs that are not known for having a quick reaction or quick release.

Touchdown Baltimore Show:

Mark Viviano WJZ-TV (On Flacco under pressure).. "He (Flacco) is going to face a team in Tennesse coming up Sunday, they like to blitz to; they're not very good at it but they're going to put some pressure on him or at least try to!  At times when Flacco has been blitzed, he is one of the worst QB's in the league; ranked 28th in the league in completion percentage and 27th in the league in yards completed average You blitz the guy!  I mean; when Joe said after the game on the interception that he threw under pressure that he lost his mind, that's an indication that you can get to him both physically and mentally if you blitz him.  It was very honest of him to say that but also kind of sad!"

^ Interesting how others see what I see!

he has a 91.7 rating and 2 to 1 td ratio when blitzed.

You'd be hard pushed to find better I'd imagine.

Stick to the subject, please. This thread is about our upcoming game with the Titans.

That it is M3 however, when I gave my opinion about Flacco under pressure you and others tried to disprove my personal opinion with stats and I produced information that validated what I see from Flacco as well.  But, Titans it is for me from here on out!  Hopefully, the Ravens beat the Titans!

Go Ravens!

Rookie QB, rookie RB. We should feast. Our defense needs to bring their hands. Metty will be slinging after we get sankey out of the game.

Okay I know how many people around here see the Browns, but what about Pittsburgh? Baltimore beat them in the first matchup.

I'd even say the Browns are a good team. They have a chance to go up to first place in the division tonight. You don't get there as a fluke, usually.

Andrew Luck is the only quarterback I can think of that absolutely eats the blitz alive. Just about any quarterback struggles under pressure

Yeah throw in

Denver at 6-2

Colts also 5-3

Pats at 7-2

Looks like anything from missing the playoffs to home field advantage with only one team two wins up on any of the rest.

Talent wise at full strength this ravens team is more talented than the 12 team in many areas. There's no perspective after a loss.

It's comical. Everyone must have forgotten pats rolled by chiefs. Bengals owned by pats. Steelers blown out by browns and ravens. Broncos blown out by Denver and of course colts blown out by steelers oh yeah and they shut out the bengals.

Perspective.

Let's also not forget, the Titans in week one blew out the Chiefs 26-10, and now look where those two teams are.

That wasn't a real problem since it at least sort of relates to the upcoming game. We had a hijack that has been removed.

So, one play proves more than his numbers all season? If we play 2 games against any qb, I could say, "he'll throw us the ball", and I'd probably be right at least once, especially if he got hurried and hit that many times. Flacco also threw a perfect, 35 yd td against the blitz. Cherry picking one play that suits your purpose doesn't prove anything.

i find it hard to believe he hasn't those stats and a 92.1 rating. That quote you used may not have been correct, whereas the 92.1 QB rating and 2 to 1 TD ratio came from espn.

If you also judging a QB on yards when under pressure I duno what to tell you.get the ball out, avoiding a sack and interception is the main aimed if someone is standing in your face, not the amount of yards you get.

@ Skins 2012

Undefeated Patriots at M&T

Ummmmm

crap I cant remember the other.

It was Flaccos rookie year.

Titans was the home loss! I was there Joe's rookie year and had my "Wacko for Flacco" sign in hand.

(Man I hated that slogan.)

It might be hard for him to match the Superbowl run performances, but I'm sure he'll be motivated.

I'm hoping Suggs and Doom will get him to false start a few times.

Unless you haven't realized, 92.1QB ratings isn't all that impressive in 2014. With the way passing games has evolved w/ defense restrictions, his stats doesn't even beat Hoyer's/Sanchez stats.

If you want to argue flacco's 'stats' instead of the baseless 'he wins games' theory(which seems to slowly being debunked w/ a overall team not performing as high as it use to) then compare his stats with other QBs.

Flacco isn't any better than a street QB you pick up @offseason.
