What I wonder is did we bring a few of these players back too soon after injuries and surgeries? They just do not seem to be able to play up to their own standards. I also agree with a post I saw earlier in the week. The coaches need to figure out which of our secondary players are overall doing better than the others and put the best 5 of them on the field as the starters with them receiving the most practice and game reps. Then maybe some of the communication problems would stop. Should we look at putting Levine in as a corner until Asa is back? If we can scratch out this win over the Titians and find a way to get the secondary working together our season is salvageable. The key is to somehow get out of this game with the secondary we currently have. Hopefully we can get an early lead so we can get some kind of rhythm going. We also need to find a way to break this nasty habit we have developed of turning the ball over. A win against the Titians is possible if we do not become our own worse enemy. I know the team has shown me little reason to be optimistic, but I still am. There is enough talented players on this team to get it together and right the ship so to speak.

Well, that's what I'm talking about...the intangibles! And that oftentimes goes beyond what they physically did on the field. What are this teams "intangibles?"

@Mili

Hmm.. Don't think we can fully judge this team at all yet obviously

I am going to the game and the Ravens are 23-3 on games I attended.

Good on y'all sleeping on the Titans.

Mettenberger can sling it , Jurell Caesy dominates the LoS , and Jason McCourty will remove SS from the game.

I can sleep on anyone I like - wait , that didn't sound right - let me try that again.

I can take any team lightly I wish (yes that's better) because I don't suit up on Sunday.

Wait what?

Bengals 5-2-1

Steelers 6-2

Browns 5-3

Ravens 5-4

Buffalo, KC, Miami, and San Diego each have 5 wins too. After sleeping on it, we still have a shot to make the playoffs and the division. Division and Wild Card is anyone's game. It's not like we are last place and eliminated like the Jaguars and Raiders are.

Last place in the toughest division in football, and last place with a chance to still make the playoffs or win the division. Beat Tennessee and the rest will take care of itself.

Yeah throw in

Denver at 6-2

Colts also 5-3

Pats at 7-2

Looks like anything from missing the playoffs to home field advantage with only one team two wins up on any of the rest.

Talent wise at full strength this ravens team is more talented than the 12 team in many areas. There's no perspective after a loss.

It's comical. Everyone must have forgotten pats rolled by chiefs. Bengals owned by pats. Steelers blown out by browns and ravens. Broncos blown out by Denver and of course colts blown out by steelers oh yeah and they shut out the bengals.

Perspective.

I'll make the argument again that the Steelers needed the win more then us. Look at it - the Bengals are the monsters. Their reign in the North is just beginning it seems. They'll win the division unless they crap out - regardless of how much they choke in the playoffs, they are definitely the division leaders for the forseeable future.

We already got swept by the Bengals. If we had swept the Steelers, and assuming we sweep the browns, that would have left us with a 4-2 divisional record.

I could EASILY see the Bengals going 4-0 divisional. They won't lose to the Steelers unless they have a meltdown. So, imagine if the Steelers got swept by the Ravens and Bengals. They needed it more. I have more confidence in us beating the Browns at home than I do in the Steelers splitting with the Bengals.

They needed it more, that's the intangible.

Same bengals that tied a bad panthers teAm. Blown out by pats and shut out by the colts. Shut out. Their unbeatable? Lol.

The ravens Will beat up on a not so good team (maybe) and then pretend they've righted the ship. Until N.O. blow their doors off.

Yeah  NO. and also the  Dolphins (as we see them now), Chargers (as they can be) and the Texans with Fitzrandolph catching a streak.   At least the division games are to the past except for the last Browns game.  There is a whole different vibe from the 5-2 Ravens team to the one that limped home this morning.  .

They have Michael Oher at RT.

Good.  We at least know one of their weakness.  Is Pollard still playing with them?   Now he is a bull.

Add a resurging Miami team to the mix.  However, the NFL gods want Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in the post season.

Out for the season with a ruptured Achilles

At least that is promising. I hope Mettenburg goes into a shell, our D learns from its mistakes and our Offense plays in better tempo mistake free.

Actually it would be more advantageous to take me on the road.  Air fare, accommodations, transportation and two tickets isnt too much to ask is it ?

The Titans are in for a hurtin' this week because we are going to take our two consecutive loses in a row out on them! It is going to be a huge win for us, 37-0.  Then, we are gonna come off of a bye and beat the Saints and we'll have Jimmy back for that game. I see us losing one more game, maybe two. I can see us going 11-5.  The last two weeks we didn't get beat... we gave them away.  Two ill advised interceptions against the Bengals, they were not routes that were jumped and "picked off", Flacco forced two stupid throws.  And against the Steelers we fumbled the ball, it was not stripped or ripped out.. he fumbled,  and the interception.. he was trying to throw it away and it got intercepted, that was just a weird play. And we keep hurting ourselves with penalties. like.. bad. All of these thing can and WILL be fixed. The one thing that I am disappointed in is that we didn't get help at cornerback. That really surprises me. We have a lot of talent at each position and really good coaches and a great head coach. We will fix these problems and make it into the playoffs. We aren't dead yet!

GO RAVENS!!!

I do think hosting TEN with a sour taste in our mouth will bring out the best in the team. Yet again though, I won't celebrate much as we will have beaten yet another inferior opponent. My fear is that the team will enter the bye week satisfied and play complacently in NO falling to 6-5. We beat NO in their dome to go 7-4 and we might just have a chance...I don't expect this, but stranger things have happened.
