Sunday QB

I think we need one more Cornerback

After yesterday's game I feel we need another CB. I do not think Franks is the answer right now. Or maybe he needs to stop playing 10 yards back from the receiver.

They only have 3 CBs active on a weekly basis. The safety depth rotates in when it can but it's an obvious weak spot. When Jimmy went down, Dalton and the WRs saw a green light on Franks' side of the field.

Franks is just a stopgap. They'd rather have Jackson back there but he's not elligible to return from IR until Week 14 - against the Dolphins. Chykie has been healthy but inactive, he's had a turrible 2014.

The guys were talking on Sunday Night Football last night...  Dan Patrick and Peter King were saying there are absolutely no CB's available that would be worth anything in the trade realm....  I would say that we'd be foolish to pick up a crummy CB....  because we already have a couple of those ourselves.....

We need to get Will Hill in there on every down....  and use the guys we have...  Sitting Will Hill and putting Brooks and Franks in there was dumb....  I don't understand that one.  I just don't get it.  If we're not going to use him, why did we sign him?

I would take Samuels right now as well

Might be too late in the season for Samuels because he hasn't had any training camp or played for a team at all since last year.

Help isn't coming guys... time to be realistic. Easiest thing in the world to bark out demands for things, completely different world to actually make things happen.

There isn't much anybody can offer us, and we certainly have very little to offer them. If you want an impact corner or WR, you better be willing to give up something of high value to get it, and I doubt Ozzie is really that interested in doing that.

And no, trading Bernard Pierce or Arthur Brown for a "top tier" corner isn't considered giving something of value, nor would I understand why any other NFL team would want to make that move.

Remember, unlike in Madden or Fantasy leagues, trades in the NFL tend to be mutually beneficial for both parties. Trading high-quality players for backups generally doesn't happen in this league.

getting someone like champ just from a leadership stand point wouldn't hurt. i don't see how having someone like that could have anything put a positive impact. Webb and Jimmy both could benefit from having a hall of famer teaching them stuff.

and to be 100% honest, can champ be any worst then franks? i'd take champ simply because his name garnishes respect no matter how old he is.

Without Jimmy,we need an entire new secondary.

I knew we should have kept Corey Graham. And yes we had the cap space to do it.

That's a preseason move you make, not an in-season move. We don't need leadership guys right now... we need actual players. You bring somebody like Champ on and you have to cut somebody, and it would probably be a secondary player who we could actually use.

There isn't really much practicing or "teaching" going on once the regular season starts, because there just isn't time for it. The overwhelming time and energy being spent during game weeks is on recovery from the prior game and prepping and working on the gameplan for the upcoming week.

Doesn't really solve many problems...

You think? lol We also need a D coordinator that can disguise blitzes.

The FO stated that they weren't expecting Graham to leave the team.  I think they intended to keep him on the roster, but lost him to the Bills providing a better deal $$

I think we need to do some looking in the draft like you said not much out there. Unless we bring in some young guys from practice squad but we need to get them some safety help ones that can actually tackle

Given what's been said and the fact there isn't much out there by way of trade the only thing Ozzie could do is try to raid another teams practice squad. Problem is if those players were that good they wouldn't be on the PS, and not much of an improvement over what we have. Tough call, tough spot.

I vote we line up some dudes and if they can fog a mirror - give 'em a uniform! : )

Hang in there everybody...lots of games left and this league is crazy competitive.  LOTS can and will happen over the next 2 months....GO RAVENS!!!

Well With Webb and Smith injury prone,we should have made more of an effort.

And given what we know now, in the future, we can make these statements about past decisions...

Hind sight is a wonderful tool for fans. Unfortunately though for fans, its also the single most irrelevant tool.

Champ Bailey anyone? Not that he's great but we did bring him in and kept contact. If Jimmy is out any length of time we may not have a choice. I don't understand Will Hill being out. Sanu and Greg Little torched our secondary. Imagine what Antonio Brown is thinking right now.

CB Jimmy Smith is going to be out a "few weeks" with a foot sprain, Coach John Harbaugh announces.

Harbaugh said that team would like to add a cornerback but acknowledged that they are 'scarce'

He also said the same thing I've been saying for weeks.... "give me a name".

Maybe if Ozzie was willing to trade for people. Rare I know, the corner we should be inquiring about is Bryon Maxwell, he's the second CB of the seahawks, unlike all our other corners he can actually cover, and he doesn't have to play 20 yards off his man.

It's like Harbaugh has never heard of the word "trade". We NEED to add someone good now. We're screwed. The steelers are gonna embarrass us. Don't be shocked if Ben drops 8 TD's on us.
