But they didn't lose, so they are good. If its and nuts were candies and nuts................

There's a big difference between being beaten by your opponent versus beating yourselves. We beat

ourselves. If you think the Bengals are good, wait until you see our next opponent!

The Bengals are a better team than us.

I know this for two reasons...

1. They beat us... twice, including in our own building

2. In both games, they outplayed us in almost all phases of football.

I kinda have to disagree with you on that one.....  Dalton connected on 2 passes that impacted the game.....  Sanu twice, deep....  Our connection was over-ruled by the refs...  but if you check the game stats...  Neither team put up stellar numbers.

Man from a browns fan that was a BAD call and a robbery. Smith sr. got robbed plain and simple. That was some sad crap right there. I hope you guys beat the doors off the steelers next week.

It is what it is. I'm more ticked that we failed on another 4th and short instead of taking the 3 easy points.

Penalty was on Monroe for unsportsmanlike conduct, just don't know what specifically he did.

I think it was taunting? Not sure though.

Elam had 58 snaps on defense, Will Hill had 12

McPhee had 23......

ONLY 12????? He needs more and so does McPhee.

No, Bengals are better. We go beat twice. Pretty simple end of story there.

I didn't say the Bengals aren't a better team than us. I said they are not a good team. But then again your facts are so compelling I'll take your word for it.

I don't think they are better...  I just don't...  Sorry...  At the end of the day it is what it is.

I'd argue we're better, but not by a lot. Bottom line is they officially have our number until we can prove otherwise, and we were beaten by a good team that was better on the day.

Dunno why that's hard for fans to accept.

If both of our teams are completely healthy, I'm not sure who the better team is. Obviously the statistics would tell you the Bengals from their two wins over us, but I'd be confident facing them in the playoffs if our lineup was completely healthy. We're both prone to playing inconsistently, but in general, we have solid squads (again, when healthy). The important thing for us is to brush this off, work harder, win more games (enough to make the playoffs), and be able to get the job done against Cincinnati next year (potentially in the playoffs as well).

Stewart and Hill should be the starting safeties for us. Brooks is not ready for a major role and Elam is just terrible.

You can't just say "team a is better than team b" because of wins, it's helpful, but you have to see how the teams play.  Both games, we are 1 play away from winning.  If wins were only indicator, tell me, who is better.  Us, Steelers, or Colts?

Colts>Ravens>Steelers>Colts>Ravens>Steelers>Colts>Ravens......

See my point?  We'll see them in the playoffs if we get there, and we'll be playing them angry, then we will see for sure.

I followed the Ravens from Cleveland.  Wasn't sure if the Browns would get another team.

I'm starting to second guess myself.

Regardless of this game and the calls, I have to admit that John Harbaugh AND his brother, are, without a doubt, the biggest cry baby coaches in the league.

I've rarely seen a call that goes against the Ravens that John isn't crying like a little girl!

Plus, outside of Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Thugs, I'm not so sure John wouldn't give up his marriage and family to win a football game, like Jimmy Johnson did with the Cowboys!

Getting a little sick of it!!

It doesn't matter WHAT week it is.  90% of the calls that goes against the Ravens he gripes about to the referees.  Watch the games and watch the sideline shots!

I've seen the shots and literally every coach does that. Sound FX is full of coaches doing that kind of thing.

My question is what he said about the calls, because I assumed that's what you based your opinion off and I hadn't heard anything.

Well, they're the easy favorites to win the division, and they'll probably win double digit games.

In my world, that constitutes a good team. They don't have to be a SB contending team to be a good team.

Well, its actually much simpler than that...

We've already beaten the Steelers once (and it wasn't close), so right now, we are better than them. If we beat them twice, good luck listening to anybody that convinces themselves that the Steelers are better. If they beat us, then you can debate all day long who the better team is, and you'll find out at the end of the season like everybody else.

The Bengals had the better offense in both meetings, they had the better defense in both meetings, they made more critical plays and stops in both meetings.

In my opinion, you don't have to lose to a team 3,4,5 times in order to prove that you are, in fact, inferior. Doesn't mean we can't beat them, but it means we've been given multiple opportunities to do so, and we haven't.

Every single argument that the Ravens are better than the Bengals involves two of fans very favorite words... "if" and "but".

Yeah I would strongly suggest you watch HCs in other games.

There's a very specific reason why you always seem to see every single HC in the league within about 5 feet of a side judge.

Now that's where you are totally wrong. Right now, our division is up for grabs. Cleveland may even

wind up on top. AND, if they don't win double digit games after beating us twice I guess it will

reinforce my position that they are not a good team, huh? Their record should be 2-4-1 right now.

They beat the Ravens on a Hail Mary pass that was bobbled and then caught by A.J.Green in Bmore and

on a questionable hometown call with great acting by one of their defenders who didn't deserve the

call. If you want to call them a good team, that's your prerogative. With any kind of defensive

backfield, we would have beaten them both times. Would you still be calling them a good team then?

The simple fact of the matter is we are not a good team right now and neither are they. We are both

middle of the pack teams.

Bottom line: They were better on those particular days at least. There are many, media pundits among them, who still claim the Broncos & Patriots were better teams than the Ravens in 2012.  So no, getting beat or beating another team doesn't make one team better in the mind of many people.

You know what, while I was in the moment and still mad at the ravens for losing I absolutely thought that Steve Smith play was a push off.Now that I've looked at the replay a dozen or so times and heard what Primetime and Micheal Irvin had to say about it I'm starting to think we got screwed. The defender initiated that contact and then flopped. That should've been a touchdown and we should've won that game.

We get swept but we're the better team obviously. The logic on this site doesn't always make sense.

So, if we sweep a team we're better than them but if they sweep us, we're still better than them?
