Trade Deadline Approaching

We need moves RIGHT NOW.

We have ZERO talent at the skill positions and its horrifying how  bad we are. Zero corners who can cover. Steve Smith as our #1 is pathetic, Torrey has gone full Danny Phantom.

Camp the only guy making catches is hurt and even Aiken is disappointing.

U are totally correct.....torrey is not going to get an extension with these kind of outings, only Steve is getting open as much as he can, and Jacoby has been a free agent signing bust.....And the secondary with exception of Jimmy has been poor at covering and reacting

The only reason I haven't made a new thread on Torrey is because he personally is a great person and im sad that he got concussed by the Dirty Bengals but good lord kid get it together.

At this point unless he wants 2mil or so , he won't be in purple next year.

I'm typically not one to panic, but we absolutely need someone at CB if Jimmy is going to miss any sort of extended time.  We can't roll with Webb and Franks as the starters.

That's on the front office for not drafting a corner.

Absolutely.  It didn't even have to be the draft really.  There were plenty of adequate FAs out there at relatively cheap prices.  That's one place where I've always maintained that we dropped the ball and it's becoming really evident at this point.

Yup, those corners were at the expense of 6 safeties. Hill, Stewart, Elam, trawick, miles, and Brooks when really it should be brooks, Elam, hill, and stewert and some corners

I will say that Levine and Trawick are monsters on ST.

I would say trade torrey, but he would get nothing as he is underperforming on the last season under contract. I'd certainly put Elam on the tradeboard however.

In their defense, Asa had beem playing very well before he got hurt.

Whats wrong with Steve? He's old, but he's been one of the NFL's top WRs. Jimmy has been shutdown.

But at the time he had not played a defensive snap at draft time.

But at the time he had not played a defensive snap at draft time.

They had liked what they had seen. Plus, Mosely was clearly the pick to go in the first, Jernigan was BPA in second, Brooks was BPA and need in the 3rd. Hard to say what a rookie 4th round pick or later is gonna do.

To say Asa was playing very well is being quite generous in my opinion. He wasn't terrible but i can't say  we really miss him either right now.

Based on Franks play, yes we are missing him.

Rookie corners generally struggle regardless. It took almost two full seasons for Jimmy Smith to basically get up to speed, and he was a first round corner.

I'm not sure if he would have done anything better honestly especially against Sanu . I seen games where Asa was getting beat alot for first down especially against Andrew Hawkins.  It's possible that he could of had played better than Franks but i'm not sure.

Nothing is wrong with Steve. He just isn't a true #1 anymore. He is inconsistent. He has alot of yrds because of the pure amount of Targets he has seen because there isn't anyone else open. Also a few huge plays early in the year.

Trade bait:

Elam(hahaha)

Authur Brown(we wouldn't get anything)

Pierce(we wouldn't get anything)

We have nothing.

Eagles want a safety next  to Jenkins. They might like Elam for a corner.

Pats need a RB and Pierce being a healthy scratch is suspect. I like Logan Ryan and Arrington is okay.

A few teams need a ILB. Falcons are one.

James Hurst might still be dangling although I think he is a talent to keep.

Bernard Pierce for Logan Ryan or Kyle Arrington.

I wish

he's easily a true #1 still. Targets are one of the key points of being a true one. being a #1=the passing offense runs through you.

Pats are apparently looking for a RB. Idk if they'd give anything for Pierce, but you never know with Belichick.

I don't were willing to give Arthur Brown up for what another team would be willing to pay. Teams just haven't seen enough of him.

We have a big need at CB and if Jimmy is out for awhile we're screwed. Opponents are gonna light up Webb and Franks. It was stupid not to draft or sign a CB. Exiting the draft we had 3 CB's! And that's at the position you should be deepest at. There's literally no corners available other than maybe Tony Carter.

The Pats have 3-4 RBs that are all as equally talented or more talented than Pierce.

Falcons need a MLB... but they also need secondary players, so they have nothing to offer us. Plus, they aren't in the business of trading to make their current roster better.

I'd rather not have one of the eagles corners (minus boykin)

lol thinking we'd get anything for pierce. He's not even good enough to play on this team... Elam isn't even worth getting rid of... hopefully it's growing pauns? how long did Jimmy Smith take to devolop? It took forever and now he's saying " look at me now... i'm getting paypurrr" i remember everyone including myself calling for jimmy smiths head after the chargers game a few years ago.

The eagles seriously want a SS and we've got Stewart and Elam.

There's no way in hell we trade a first round pick who's only in his second year.  Also.... who'd trade for Stewart?

Doug Martin? Forsett is a stop gap at best and Taliaferro isn't anything sepecial. He'd be the perfect Ray Rice Replacemnt.
