I think we need one more receiver

Great minds! I just came across that nugget too and posted it!

It has nothing to do with Torrey. It is because Flacco didn't play catch with him during the off season.

I see what you mean, there is a lack in a true No.3 WR, but Camp is on the come up, I really think that if he stays healthy he'll take that spot.

There's not much certainty for the future at the position. Steve is 35 and will be done soon, Torrey isn't that good and is a FA after this season and Jacoby just sucks. So that's Marlon and Camp for the future of this team. That's terrible, even if both have had some promising flashes. I think Camp will be a good slot guy and Marlon will continue to be an effective RZ target, but I don't expect much more.

We still need two top WR's for the future so I definitely thinks there's a good chance we draft one early this year. We all saw what happens to your offense when you ignore the position and have Torrey, Marlon and JJ be your top ones... so hopefully we don't do that again. Even if we resign Torrey we'll need another one, since he has struggled to develop into much more than a fast WR. Still can't run routes well, has no hands and is pretty soft. When our offense has a really good WR our team is soo much better

should have made a move for jordan matthews in the 2nd, swapping 2nd round draft spots and adding a 4th rounder wouldve been worth it and i think someone would have taken that deal, but im certainly no gm.

but anyways, i think this whole discussion is moot, you dont honestly expect us to pull the trigger on a stud WR do you? next year we will draft secondary, DL depth, and pass rush, while we take a TE or OL in the 5th or later and MAYBE take a WR with our last pick, only to see them walk by year 2, then during preseason everyone will go hypebeast over UDFA's because theyre 6'5" and caught a TD in a preseason 4th quarter. and then we will sign some FA who everyone gets excited about even though they are either washed up or a 3rd option at best(houshmandzadeh, evans)

were constantly surprised by the first 2 picks of the draft, and then the needs are quietly addressed in the late rounds.. all needs but WR.

the draft formula has generally worked, but somethings gotta give, we have bigger needs than WR but one of these days a stud WR has to come along.

We're of like mind here. I think Ozzie will tackle this position in the draft early. If anything, signing Steve Smith Sr has likely opened our eyes to what kind of offense we can have with quality, top end WR.
