Chances of a Shut Out?

11 posts in this topic

Was reading an ESPN article, in which is cited Pees as being upset at the missed opportunity for the first Ravens shutout since 2009.

It's impressive we even got so close to one against such a talented offense.

What should excite Pees and us is that we have some real lame duck offenses on the schedule that could very well yield us that shut out if we play well enough.

The obvious two are the Titans and the Jags.

The not so obvious ones are the Steelers, the Bengals, and the Browns.

The Steelers and Bengals have already been shut out once each respectively, and the Browns depending on how their season fairs might have nothing to play for come week 17.

Not making any predictions as of now, but we came so close yesterday and I would love to see it happen.

Wont happen. I'm calling it now, we'll be sitting our guys resting for a playoff run and this game won't matter.

If it wasn't a divisional game I could see it, but I think there will be seeding at play and the Browns are going to try to play spoiler.

On topic, I LOVE the piece about Pees being furious that we lost the shutout. I'm not sure if it's just being tired of all the criticism but he is much more vocal/outward this year about his desire to be a special defense. I think you come to BAL as a DC knowing you're with an organization that is going to bring you talent. This year he has all the talent he needs to run his scheme at the highest possible level. Excited to see what he does with it when it's all said and done.

I'd love to shutout Cincy and put an end to any talks of them being back into this divison

I think if a playoff berth is sealed then the FO won't care about it being a divisional game, seeding isn't worth potentially losing a key player in a meaningless game. Now if the berth is not sealed then the starters will play and the shutout is still in play. It all depends on if we have clinched a spot or not

Aim for the stars. Shutout Drew Brees in NOLA on Monday Night Football.

I like that. Wouldn't mind seeing us put some pressure on Grubbs either.

Whether we shut them out or not, to blow them out would be a treat. We'd sweep their division and each win would be I'm blowout fashion.

We have games left against the Titans, Jags, Texans and Dolphins where I think it is a possibility.

I would like for it to be against the Chargers though.
