We haven't beat a good team all year so out preformances so far don't mean much in comparison to the rest of the league.(Indy game is the only game that has shown that we have to potential to hold our own against the great teams.

Broncos and Chargers still scare me with our secondary until I see reason to think otherwise. Although I do think the Chargers and Cowboys will both cool off in s big way later in the season.

Game of matchups. I feel we matchup perfectly against the Cowboys. They don't worry me cause our strength is stopped g the run and Jimmy could take away Dr for the most part. I feel we'd be able to run on them as well.

Better question - does it matter in October?  Most important thing right now is that we are on top of the division thanks to Indy and Carolina.  We need to make the playoffs - then maybe playing like the best team in the league matters.

Indy dominated us and thoroughly dominated Cinci, so there is no way to support an argument we are better than Indy. And, you're record says what you are and there are several teams with only one loss.

 

As I remember it, BOTH teams looked pretty horrific that day.

 

Oh and I think the Ravens are as talented as anyone right now, and can beat any team anywhere if the Ravens and their opponent both play their best. Problem with this team is what it's always been during the Harbaugh/Flacco era: consistency from week to week, or even half to half.

Thus far we have won the games we were suppose to win. With teams that are strong we have held our own but lost in the end. Until we actually win a couple of those tight games, we can not declare ourselves a number one team. We are a very good team that can be dominate at times, but it is premature to consider us as anything else. This discussion should be revisited after the next 4 games.

The cowboys are an outstanding team on both sides of the ball. I'm sure you predicted them to win AT Seattle.

But anyways, I don't think we are the best team but we are definitely close. I look forward to playing the chargers in a few weeks.
