Pierce put on too much weight before the start of last season. I remember reading a article last season about him saying how he was trying to get bigger without losing his speed. Apparently it didn't work. He just doesn't look like the same runner he was as a rookie.

Sounds just like Rice last year.

 

Gaining too much weight changes how well you can switch directions, and the extra power you get from weight doesn't always make up for the lack of mobility.

Thats gotta like the 5th or 6th game losing drive (maybe more) by the D since last year. I coulda bet 100 bucks they'd fold after 24-20. Wide Open WR's for Cincy, blanketed Wr's for us. Sound familiar?
