Ricky Wagner

Since it seems like everyone is starting a thread about individual players, I think it's time that Ricky Wagner deserves some respect. Even though he's been a average run blocker, his pass blocking skills deserves a lot of recognition. According to PFF through the first 6 games Wagner has been the best pass blocking RT in the league with a +7.2 rating. He's also tied with Joe Barksdale as the best RT in the league. I don't even have to tell you guys how much of an upgrade he's been over the last guy. Hopefully he keeps this up. Wagner definitely needs some recognition.

And people said all off-season we needed a RT. Lol, never wanted to give the man a chance. Wagner has been a beast.

A million bucks says it was related to his dismal showing in Denver (not that a rookie start is necessarily indicative of how good a player is, but I'd say that's where it came from).

I was iffy on it because I thought he definitely improved as the season went on, but it was still a lot of faith to put into him. I think I fully put faith in him when the Ravens didn't take a guard or tackle high

the fanbase knew we had a solid option at RT, but outside the fanbase, it was doom and gloom for us because somehow nobody seemed to realize we signed a huge upgrade at C, locked down a long term LT, had our 2 guards coming back to playing healthy, and our soon to be RT was much better than anyone knew about.

but then again, since when do other fanbases know anything about us, theyre just gonna doubt and doubt until their team loses to us.

I was a fan of him getting his shot. I remember people screaming for "what's his name" the guy who was the right tackle for Kubiak in Houston because he knew the system. I believe that same guy got signed and cut already and is a FA. I hate injuries but I like when we are forced to play a young guy and watch them exceed all expectations. B.Williams, Taliaferro, Mosley, Wagner, Hurst, Juice, Camp, and Jernigan. I think Brooks is next and potentially Brown if he can ever make it on the active roster for game day.

With Yanda and Wagner the right side of our line is incredibly strong. Wagner looks like a top RT already.

I love how Wagner shut the naysayers up about his ability on the RT; well, he puts me at awe......

If he keeps improved and being the best where he's at, all I see is big fat paychecks and some pro-bowls......

The very fact you almost never hear his name of TV tells you he is doing his job very well.  Happy for him taking advantage of his opportunity this year.  Credit to the management staff to see his skill and trust him there heading into the season.

When I met Rick Wagner at the Ravens draft party. I said what do you think about is drafting Martin to be the RT. He said "there's no way in heaven or hell anyone is beating me for that spot". I was like, let's draft another position

He has been consistent and quiet. I don't think I have seen an interview of him since the draft. I just looked him up and today is his birthday Lol. Good timing with the post.

I'm very happy for Rick Wagner.  He took a lot of heat last season.  Glad he stayed focused and now he's living his dream as a starter in the NFL.  Congrats sir!

Wagner, Hurst, Urschel...can't complain at all about the job they've done so far.  Before the season started, if someone said 2 rookies would start 2 consecutive games on the left side of the line, it would have been doom and gloom. Glad they shut us all up!

Amen to that!
