Week 7 Discussion (Other Teams)

The weird thing about winning comfortably this season is that I got more thrill out of the FSU game last night and the last drive of the Lions game today than I got from watching us.

It's nice to not be on red alert for heart attacks every week, but I kinda miss that excitement.

Either the Giants have a horrible pass rush or the Cowboys have an awesome o-line. Tony Romo has all day out there to read the field.

I know there was a lot of confusion when they took Travis Frederick over Elam or Cyprien in 2013, and many(especially the media) were praying they would take Johnny Football but took Zack Martin instead. Add in the selection of Tyron Smith in 2011, three first round picks dedicated to the OL and keeping Tony Romo up right. Jerry Jones actually did something right.

I'm thinking chargers vs ravens AFC championship, just a hunch of course but if chargers win the div I can see it happening.

Quick question. With the Chiefs up 20-14 over the Chargers, if the Chiefs win Chargers drop to 5-2, same record as us. Who currently would have the tiebreaker? I know H2H will come into play in Week 13 but that's still 6 weeks away. Just curious.

Colts and Pats are 5-2 as well. Would be 4-way break, right?

I believe they look for a head-to-head sweep (not applicable). After that, it goes to the conference record, then the common games record (with a four-way tie I'm guessing there's no-one all four sides have faced), then the strength of victory (thank you Bucs) and the strength of the schedule after that.

So doing the numbers off the top of my head, it would be Chargers and Colts at one and two, with us the Patriots at three and four.

Crap forgot about those teams. Yep 4 way break and since I don't think there is any H2H tiebreakers other than Colts over us, I'm not sure how it will work.

Just looked at the standings, my goodness will we see another 7-9 division winner in the playoffs? Look at the horrible NFC South.

Panthers 3-3-1

Saints 2-4

Falcons 2-5

Bucs 1-5

Does anyone want to win the NFC South?

Wow, this emphasis on DPI and illegal contact is ridiculous. That wasn't a penalty, but man Andy Reid was storming down the sideline yelling at the ref. Seems the refs are helping the Chargers here.

Wow.  I knew the division was doing bad, but I hadn't actually looked at the standings.

Calm down Nick Novak, maybe you can celebrate like that if you nail the winner.

He did just set a franchise record for most consecutive field goals made, but yes, calm down.

Ah, didn't see that bit - just saw him sink it and dance around like he'd won a playoff game for them.
