He's leading 51% to 49% as of now in order to get to the next round. Tweet like crazy!

SB Nation is reporting that Alejandro DeAza has lost his arbitration hearing. Good for the Orioles, now he needs to show us why he felt he should have got a raise! He talked a good game all off season, now it's time to play one, or should I say more than 20.

Not Orioles, but didn't know where else to put this:

Braves OF B.J. Upton is now going by his birth name, Melvin Upton Jr.

Where does all this money suddenly come from in Boston? Does it grow on trees there? I thought New York had the biggest money tree when they out bid everyone for Tanaka, but Yoan Moncada is now a Red Sox. As an Orioles fan, it is so depressing.

I guess the O's are looking to strike gold again by signing another former PED suspended player.....Everth Cabrera, a 28 year old former all-star infielder who stole 44 bases in 2012. We shall see.

According to CBS sports, Markakis said said not to believe a word the Orioles say.

This was just reported so there is no real article link, but its on the side.

His comment caught me off guard but I'm confused... Haven't the O's been saying his neck was the primary reason?

I'm pretty sure they both agree on this. What's bs?

I know it is just business, but is it just me or do the Orioles just always seem to be in the spotlight in a controversial or negative way. We won the AL East yet I am not sure we are seen as an attractive place to be by players around the league.

Lots of backpeddling and apologizing today. Apparently he didn't mean it the way ot came out. Imthink he's just broken-hearted not to be an Oriole any more.

Pretty sure that's all about money. It seems like the players love it here, but Cheap Pete doesn't like to pay.

It had to break Nick's heart and I totally lay this one on Pete (big surprise!). It seems like the better the Orioles get the more he wants to drag us down! Baltimore is an awesome baseball town, I saw it first hand. Now? Come on Pete put the for sale sign up! At least do us a favor and change your name to Peter Irsay! Some of us gray beards have seen this story before!!

So today's intrasquad game ended in a 0-0 tie. Should I be excited about our pitching and defense or worried about our hitting?

I am worried about our offense this season, so I am worried about hitting right now.

Pitching has it's issues, too.

@Orioles: Tough outing for Jimenez, allowing 6 ER in 1.1 IP, 2 Ks. LHP Chris Jones has taken over, & we're headed to the top of the 3rd down 7-0.

That doesn't even mention his 2 HBPs in the 2nd.

All that money invested in Jimenez and the guy just can't pitch at a major league level. What a bust and we are stuck with him. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.................hopefully he can pull it together to give us something this year.

First we beat the Rays and then we beat the Jays.....hopefully. At least one win is in the books today.

@masnRoch: If you picked Daniel Rodriguez as 1st #orioles pitcher to get a save this spring, go to the window and collect your money

It feels weird watching baseball, but I like it.

I don't care if it is spring training, nothing better on lol. Almost the end of the dark time of the year with no Ravens or O's
