Not too surprised with this weeks turn of events.

Same

Bad episode for this seasons standards IMO. Ending saved it though

Man...I get the whole separate story thing but I'd really like a season where they're all together. I think that's when the show is at its best.

I agree.  I wasn't a huge fan of last night's episode.  I much prefer everyone together.  By time the next episode comes on, it'll be 3 weeks before we find out who returned with Daryl, even though I'm 99% sure I know who it is.  That's ridiculous.

I don't mind the format. I like a few split up episodes. I just thought this storyline was too obvious and uninteresting. Very unlike the show.

I liked last night's episode.  Daryl and Carol are such a dynamic duo on screen together, so it really couldn't go wrong.

It seems everyone is back on the same timeline again, which is nice.  It seemed a little jumbled by ignoring a few story lines and not making it very clear when this stuff was happening, but alas, here we are.

I agree!  I actually love watching them together because of their chemistry with one another.

Can't believe she was so stupid, even though I knew it was going to happen.

As soon as they showed that angle you knew it was coming

Soon as he said what his name was, I knew she was going to mess up.

They've been building to next week for more than a season now it seems, since Beth got snatched up. Gotta get some closure before the winter break.

My wife called him out first. I said he was cool.

Then that angle......

I said "here it comes"

The second he started telling his story I saw that coming lol

Had hopes I was wrong though. ....Rick's starting to become blood drunk but I enjoy it

Noticing a pattern. He's not blood drunk, he's realized what needs to be done. Three times they've ignored what he's said and so far 2 of the times we know they've been wrong(killing the terminus leader and going to Washington).

How many times do they need to learn the same lesson? You have to eliminate your enemies, or they will come back later to try and eliminate you. It's already hurt them twice, and now they want to try and "all go home happy" again?

Exactly.

Agreed. Blood drunk was bad wording. I think he's just getting closer to the grey area of post apocalyptic morality....clearly more savage then he was before, even though he has reason behind everything.... l wouldn't trust him if he rescued me (lol) but I guess that's just the way it's gotta be.

So sad

When it happened I yelled her name in shock. lol

I had a feeling someone was on the chopping block, but I didn't suspect her, especially in that situation.

You're right. It's screwed up and was unnecessary.

They interviewed Norman, the guy who plays Daryl and they said filming the mid season finale was very gut wrenching.  So I knew it was gonna be someone likable dying.

I honestly didn't even know I liked her character that much until she died.  I generally felt sad in that moment, even though I know it's only a TV show.

Yeah, I think it had to do w/ her being so young and innocent and her dying right before Maggie got to her that made it so sad.

Wow, what an episode. Can't wait to see the second half of the season. I hate waiting until February. Lol. At least the gang is complete again. Hopefully we'll see more of them as an entire group. That's when the show was really at its best.
