People still believe in trap games? :rolleyes:

There is reason behind the quote "any given Sunday." As soon as we forget or ignore, we are reminded.

Like Buffalo last year. Or Jacksonville a couple of years ago. I'd say it's the norm to play down to an opponent if you're convinced you'll belt them - see Seattle going down by 21 early on Tampa last year.

It would be a pleasant gift if the Ravens win convincingly when all seem to expect them to, but I've seen the opposite way to often to forget the other possibility. Experience should teach but at times many refuse to acknowledge until the brick drops, lol.

Here Is my problem with saying teams are desperate. I am sure they were desperate last week too.

Well, this week their owner spoke up so there is an added special concerns... jobs. I am sure it's always in the owner's mind but when he speak; they listen and read between the lines. That level of desperation should never be taken lightly.

Either way I expect a tough game and I'm sure the team does too and prepared for one.

No doubt. Many of the falcons will be playing for their livelihood and they also have much to prove having been so terrible on the road. A wounded animal is dangerous and I'm sure that's not lost with the Ravens' players and coaches.

A positive note i just thought about. Franks was drafted by Atlanta and is probably quite familiar with their WRs, so maybe that helps. Players always tend to go hard against their old teams.

The Browns last place schedule will keep them overrated but everyone knows they aren't for real.

There are only two games that are effected by last season's performances. The other 14 opponents are the same as they are for every other team in the division.

Like it or not man, the Browns are the real deal now. All those years of us and the rest of the NFL killing them has given them enough good picks. They are a "good" team. Defiantly better than the Steelers atleast(who isn't). The thing that sucks is tha they get another TWO first rounders the upcoming draft, meaning that they could possibly pose a threat to us.

Here's my rankings.

1.Ravens

2.Bengals

3.browns

4.(no one, the steelers are just that bad)

5.steelers.

Is the AFC North sweeping the NFC South?

The Steelers were the combo breakers against the Bucs (lol).

I honestly hope we don't catch their bait and start throwing as much as Falcons do.   Our key has always been 50/50.   Don't catch the bait and start replicating what Ryan does.  It wont work for us Harb

Luckily, that hasn't happened outside the Bengals game (and that wasn't nearly as bad as lets say last years bills game). Trufants areally good young corner, so Steve could struggle a little tomorrow. Daniels, Juice, and Gilmore should be able to take advantage of their linebacker tho.

This. And if our offensive line does their job as they've done so far, we should be okay.

Nobody is picking the Falcons to win and that by definition is a 'trap' game! So play well and aggressive Ravens or else on any given Sunday even the Falcons can beat us!

I'm glad cats are finally picking us to be the "big dogs" in the yard!  Now, all we need for the Ravens to do...is go out there and be consistent!  Duplicate last weeks total team performance regardless of the opponent....PLAY WELL!  Move on to 5-2.

Ravens 24

Falcons 14

Go Ravens!!

Took the words out of my mouth. You would think our offense should pick up where they left off in Tampa considering ATL's defense has looked (arguably) worse than the Bucs. They better start fast and not let up.........

the only issue last week barely any wind this week ... it will be a run the ball down their  throat because of the wind ..... their back field is poor  star back is out  and backups all are banged up as well ,  this is our secondaries time to make a Statement ... C-2Z and some Mike blitzes might be what we need to get the ball in the air long enough for the wind to hit it and cause errant passes to be picked off ,  as for Joe  ,  Quick hitch and slant routs maybe some 7 routes when with the wind , and look for our line to open holes early and often for Lorenzo and Justin and even my prediction is Juice gets in on the ground game .

Wow, according to Zrebeic Marlon and Chykie brown both inactive. Looks like Harbuagh wasn't lying when he said Campanaro earned more playing time and I'm thinking Aaron Wilson's sources may be a little off with only using Hill a few defensive snaps. Looks like he and Brooks will be used heavily in coverage today, this makes me really excited. Especially with Webb getting healthier each game and Smith being Smith, Im getting skeptically optimistic for our secondary moving forward

It'll be exciting to see if Camps will be an integral piece of our future WR corps. I'm wondering if Marlon is still hurt from his pelvis injury. Hill and Brooks will be very interesting to watch. Add that with a healthier Webb and a Jimmy Smith who continues to showing his worth (barring injuries of course) and our secondary should improve.

definitely agree, I'm thinking Marlon still just wasn't 100% and with how Aiken has been and Camp played last week there's no reason to have a full healthy camp inactive. Reminds me of how Pierce was active but Harbaugh went with Taliaferro because he said he wasn't playing Pierce unless he was 100%.  I don't know how permanent this is however because when M. Brown got more snaps (at least the panthers game) he was taking advantage of it and making good catches. Really hope we see Camp in the slot more and more this game, I just can't see the Falcon's secondary being deep enough to cover all the talent we have on offense

On paper, don't they have a worse defense than the Bucs? If so, I expect Flacco to be protected well and all 3 RBs to do some work. As for Camps, I agree with the slot. He's got some nice hands.
