FYI

Matt Ryan inside a dome:

64.91 completion percentage 98.55 QB rating

outside a dome:

59.98%   84.94 QB rating

Pretty significant difference for something that "doesn't matter".

Ryan this year on the road:

5 TD, 6 ints

60% comp %, 72.8 rating

Flacco at home this year:

6 TD, 1 int

63.9% comp %, 97.0 rating

Right now whenever I see that a post compares Flacco and Ryan, I just glaze over and move to the next one.

Those are interesting numbers on Flacco because the perception is he has not performed that well at Home because of that dismal first half of the Bengals' game.

Same. I'm more about the team. Hopefully the team can build off last week's performance.

Maybe you haven't heard, but we threw the ball 62 times against the Bengals. People don't talk about it often enough, so I thought I'd point that out.

yeah I'm not sure we've ever gone to the air that much before. Usually is not a good sign when we have to go over 50 attempts.

I don't know why everyone is so confident about our defense vs their offense. They have the best WR group in the league and we have our secondary.I think we could/should win but the idea of going up against Julio,White,Douglas and Hester scares the hell out of me.

It's more a gesture of confidence in our DL (and linebackers) against their road cones OL.

I'll take the under (though watch us break a franchise record now). Iirc we only got five against the Bucs even with all that pressure. As long as we regularly get hurries and hits, though, I won't complain.

True but on the road though, hopefully being pressured to score and keep up....I can see him playing like Matt Glennon.

Taking the over. Have a strong feeling we dominate

ATL is really good at home, but on the road they are a different team. I also don't think their WR corps is that special outside of Julio. GB and Chicago are both better but that's besides the point. Limit Julio, which we should be able to do with Jimmy, and it takes away a huge component of what they try to do on offense. I'm perfectly OK with getting beat by Devin Hester and Roddy White because I don't think they are good enough to do it. This is a one dimensional passing team with a bad OL and a QB who struggles away from home.

I hope we don't lay an egg vs falcons , they're desperate, I hope we come out firing & steamroll them.

I agree this could be somewhat of a trap game, however we just don't see those types of letdowns at home. I think Kubiak has learned that balance is key for this team and again, with how loud the fans will be and the Ravens play at home I have a ton of confidence. Also if Hill gets in this week that'll be a huge addition because a first game of the season hill still gives me more confidence in coverage than Elam. Having Elam near the line of scrimmage with Hill and maybe even Brooks back at the same time could be interesting and really help our coverage against a good receiving corp

Sarcastic about him being a stud, yeah. I still think it was a good idea to draft him, because I think he'll develop. He's like any rookie. He needs some help inside, though. That whole OL is a mess anyway.

I think he'll he awesome, but these early struggles are not what I saw coming

It's really hard to be a rookie starter at LT. With how well these pass rushers ate being developed, it really takes a year before they can truly make an impact unless they're Kalil.

Get them here and there. Long, Kalil, Thomas, but can't think of others

Yeah...those type of prospects are like interior DT who can collapse the pocket. They're like unicorns they're so rare.

oh, then i guess i just don't get it

I think Ryan will look like Glennon did on Sunday since both situations are similar. Crappy o line and defense. He's still Matt Ryan but only half since he's on the road. Other half Glennon. Or something like that. Honestly I don't even know

Maybe we'll see Mike Ryan on Sunday.

Ill take even. Were are the best pass rushing team team in the NFL and have 3 of the top 5 OLB at rushing the passer, its all up our secondary to hold up. I believe in Jimmy and I liked what I saw from Webb last week, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons come with a game plan that attacks our Safeties or our nickel CBs. Falcons have no chance at running the ball. They'll probably try some screens early we just have to be careful of Antone Smith he's been a monster for them in the screen game

We should win, but this game is very dangerous. We likely won't be able to relax at any point like last weekend. This will not be over early, even if it starts out looking that way. Ryan is not elite or anything, but he does have a habit of being a nuisance in the late stages of games to give his team a chance to win. I think our defense will be forced to come up big to save a comeback win this week. This will be a star-making opportunity for some of our young guys, and a statement chance for some of our vets on defense.

I've said it many times already, we will go undefeated in games that we don't turnover the ball. I'm starting to think that may also be the case in games we don't give up a sack. Both have held true thus far.

You know its funny. I just checked ESPN's log for Total QBR and Flacco and Ryan are tied for the best single game at 99.7. Both were against the Bucs. Man the Bucs are horrible.

If Hill does play expect Pees to ease him back with a percentage of plays. However it's done I expect the Falcons to send Matt Ryan to probe the right side CBs and the deep safeties and use short dump off passes.
