Official Vent uh talk about the game vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers !

You can but we haven't been successful have we? so you're saying we just stick with the old vanilla soft technique even if it isn't working cuz we're scared of a certain team's OL?

It's actually working about as well as blitzing is, with the exception of this game where the blitz destroyed possibly the worst team in the league

I love the win, it was great but this is the vent thread... only things i'm going to vent about is

I wish they would have let flacco try for the record. He never catches a break from the media and NFL records speak for themselves.

I wish we would have kept the gas peddle into the floor. We always have that gripe... The ravens seldom ever play 4 quarters of football. The 17 points in the 2nd half was way too much... Even if the big lead dictated the play calling 17 points is a lot in a normal half of football.

We played great this game. I think we dominated despite the second half breakdown. Offense, defense, special teams.

I'm still not very happy with Elam, but he's playing somewhat solid. I'm hoping he'll develop into the S we wanted him to be, because I'm not seeing him as a nickel back. He's just too short and doesn't have the athleticism to excel there.

Webb was average this game. Glad he was out there but he allowed some big plays. Jimmy played solid football overall. Very very happy with him. Franks looked kinda iffy, but he hasn't practiced since we cut him so what can be expected? Stewart was average as well.

Really really really impressed by Gilmore. He showed very solid hands. I think he's a keeper at the TE position and he can be the dual that TE we've sought. He might be able to replace the void left by Heap. Haven't had that dual threat in a while. He still needs development so time will tell.

Brandon Williams, Mosley, Torrey got their praise. They played awesome. We truly have excellent youth on this team. Players like Williams, Mosley, Jimmy and Brooks are going to be the core of our defensive corps in the coming years. They're playing outstanding football.

Thanks for jogging my memory on Gilmore. Starting to get sold on him as TE of the future. Good blocker with solid hands and decent route running. Not to mention a nasty attitude to boot.

I know he's not playing right now, but don't forget about Timmy as well. With the way we move Mcphee around, Timmy will be able to both do some of that dirty work inside to allow Mcphee some favorable matchups, as well as get inside pressure on the rush.

I'm still trying to reconcile the fact that Hurst and Urschel didn't lose us the game..........

Where are the negative nancies that thought we'd lose because of them?

I thought the game would be a 3 point differential with our win based on their work in Pittsburgh.  Many posters advocated quicker play execution with running plays to avoid such a Hurst fiasco.  Hey, Chevrolet "dependable player of the day" on Red Zone is Joe Flacco

You spoke of Gilmore and I hope he widens his horizons before the mid season break  That Ryan acquisition is still a puzzling move.. Actually, I thought we emphasized WRs today..

there is a six page vent thread after todays game ?

hahahaha mostly arguing about is this a blitz or isn't it?

and why we don't come out aggressively more often on defense.

not really venting about today.

Yep. Defense couldn't shut em out so because of that, they're garbage. Flacco couldn't throw for 7TDs so you know he's overrated.  That's all there is to vent.

I would LOVE to see the vent get to be a week old and only have like two or three posts.

I heard that, but didn't know it was Ben's record. Thanks for sharing that. I get to heckle some of my Steelers buddies even more now. :)

Today was simply wonderful.

My BF is a Steelers' fan and I did have to share that little tidbit of info though I've been easy on him most of the day since the Steelers had their worst loss to the Browns in 25 seasons. lol

I thought I'd read it on this site but nope. Not here.

"According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Flacco's fifth touchdown pass -- which was a 56-yarder to Steve Smith Sr. -- came just 16:03 into the game, shattering the old mark set by the Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger, who threw five touchdowns against the Ravens 28:09 into a game in 2007."

I'm really unhappy with Joe . he should have had 10 td passes today .

Jacoby needs to be benched as a reciever . I wanna see more of Camp & Aiken

as they are more sure handed by far than Jacoby who had another one go through his hands

on a third down play .

Camp does fight for the ball ,doesn't he? I was more impressed with his catch then any other

TD catch . It was a strongly contested ball and he reeled it in . Time to see more of this kid

in Kubiak's system .

Ravens totally dominated in this one! Awesome, dominant team victory! Brilliant game plan and play

calling by Coach K. The execution by the offense was nearly flawless and Forsett rhymes with Dorsett.

Elite performance by Jersey Joe Flacco!! My only complaint is that I failed to anticipate the

blowout. I should have known we would play well at the site of our 1st SB victory. Kudos also belong to the huge contingent of Baltimore fans at Raymond James Stadium.

That's hysterical.

How many years of everybody's knock on Flacco being his inconsistency, and now he's Mr. Dependable?

LMAO.

In my defense I pretty much never even go into the vent threads.

I participated in like the first two that ever existed and it just made my head hurt too bad.

Can understand that completely.

Venting can help though - we celebrate their victories - see no reason we can't vent about their failings as well.

Today though - is a good day.

I have only one vent i want to get of my chest and that is the lack of carries to LT.  He has proven to be a good back i was just surprised by the lack of carries he received

I agree with you . LT should have had more carries .

In fact , I think he is a stronger , more explosive back right now than Pierce . Pierce just does not have the speed getting to the hole that he used to . I don't know if he is still slightly injured or what .

I'm with you. Rookie or not, I think he is better than BP. Very good in pass protection, too.

Lots of players taking to twitter to thank the Raven fans in Tampa, they were impressed.

I know a lot of our fellow posters were there, nice job!

It looked and sounded like a home game.  Crazy support for an away game.
