How about the gameplan from Pees today, I don't think I've seen the Ravens blitz that much since I don't even know when. Love the early gameplan of going with single coverage and not even disguising the blitzes but just saying "hey, we have 5 or 6 guys on the line of scrimmage, you can either block us or you cant" and more often than not they couldnt. And then I loved the late disguises with mosely and daryl smith coming on late in blitzes. I hope Pees didn't just do this because we were playing Glennon but continues to stay aggressive. I think this game was an eye opener for him that an aggressive gameplan is what fits our team, especially once we get Jernigan back our front 7 is pretty scary.

Looking forward to getting Will Hill back this week (might not play but just the fact he's back is exciting)

The Ravens announced him with the starters when the inactives were released, but Urschel got all the 1st team warmups before the game. Take that for whatever it's worth to you.

duno what to make of it. Good call either way. He done well. Finally some decent interior depth

No I'm talking out of the gate for games. At the start, like we do, and give up those long clock eating drives over and over and over to the opposing team.

I think I can agree with that, but I'm hesitant. Agreeing with you is weird.

I'm with you here. I've said it several times before, but with Suggs, Ngata, McPhee, and Doom as your nickel defensive line, you shouldn't need to blitz. Just let those guys do their thing.

That's what I've been saying all along.

I will say this again because apparently me saying this in two other threads doesn't make it clear at all. There is a very big difference between playing weak offensive lines and strong offensive lines when game planning. The Ravens played possibly the three best offensive lines in the first five weeks and a top 7 offensive line as well. They also played a bottom half of the league offensive line twice. The game plans were severely different because of that. The Ravens played the Panthers and Bucs and are aggressive, but when they play the Steelers, Colts, Cinci, and Cleveland, they're not. It's just pure chance that they decided to be aggressive or not? No, it goes back to how good the offensive lines are.

I loved it, too, worked to perfection then we went soft in the second half.

one could argue mosley is as good as any with pressure? He's been amazing timing those delayed blitzes, finding a gap or running over the rb

congrats to both Camp and Aikens on scoring their first NFL TDs and props to Kubes for not being afraid to allow them to play. Great to finally have a good OC.

Brandon Williams is a monster, I don't think people are saying enough about him.

Good to see Torrey show up today and both Gilmore and Juice make appearances.

Joe Flacco, what more can you say. Some were questioning if Flacco had enough accuracy to run this offense. He's over 67% on the season. He just looks so much better in this offense and I don't even think those guys are firing on all cylinders yet. Great job.

Also great to see the pass rush return.

LOL

bound to agree on something at some point!

Great game. I did kind of want Flacco to have a shot at that record - it annoys me only because some here always point to his yards and such to say he is crap but that is just more a thing than an actual complaint.

So I loved the first half play calling on defense. I hated that we went soft in the 2nd half - even though I understand the strategic side of it.

Now, if Pees continues to call that type of game, I will no longer pick at him.

He's not the best at shedding blocks, but the delayed blitzes where he's allowed to wait for a hole to open up have been huge. He's just got such good speed to make it into the backfield before the quarterback has a chance to release the ball

OMG! Somebody just started a thread complaining that the Ravens weren't wearing pink.

Wait, an actual thread...? Can we leave it open?

Don't we deck it out for 1 game in the month of October in pink?  It'll probably be our home game next week.  I believe that's what we've always done.

he shouldn't have to shed to much on delayed blitzes where he can pick a gap and avoid linemen. He has enough strength to punish running backs.

Part of me still wishes we took a cb just because of how poor or secondary is. But he's been outstanding.

If the secondary has been a problem, I believe Will Hill's suspension should be up now so hopefully, a natural FS will provide a spark. Maybe Matt Elam will play only SS now but our CB situation might still have him as the nickel so idk...

The only cornerback I wanted was Kyle Fuller and he got picked before the Ravens had a chance. I'm more than thrilled with Mosley.

I love using him in blitzes. What makes his pressures even more lethal is that they are so often green dog rushes, or when the running back stays in to block and Mosley blitzes. It's not often that Mosley goes in on a "called" blitz.

I loved that we got all the WRs involved today, except Jacoby really.  He's still really struggling although he finally had a nice return.

Daryl Smith looked incredibly slow in coverage at times.  The secondary is still questionable as well.  Those are my only "vents" about the game.  You can't find too much negative in a blowout like this, and I'm really happy to see the positive far outweigh the negative.

I agree but Franks played well at times but our secondary is still questionable and I don't even think Will Hill could change that

can only imagine the potential of this Dline/front 7 once young guys like Jernigen, Ubran and KLM get back healthy.

Also, is there any need for Cody if the Ravens decide to activate him off PUP? I'm not sure.
