Week 6 - Baltimore Ravens (3-2) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-4)

So this was Pees' second half gameplan? So playing poor defense comes from him?

If you're going to say allowing those 300+ yds and 17 pts was part of his second half adjustments then you can't blame the players, either.

Again, I think if that was suggested to Pees or Harbaugh they'd give you the stink eye. Defenses' job is to stop the opposing offense and get the ball back to your offense - who had been killing in the TOP for the majority of the game.

You absolutely can blame the players because they allowed short completions and short runs to turn into broken tackles and tons of YAC for large plays. The idea is to allow short completions, but tackle them immediately, and the players failed to do that and allowed big plays off of it at times. Still ate over 12, 13 minutes of the clock.

We completely blanked them to zero on 1st half. If we wanted to, we could've. But it wasn't worth taking players life over. Relax..

The plan isn't to let them score, but if they do, you're still up by nearly 40, so who cares? Like I said, three scoring drives that amounted to 17 points took over 12 minutes, and probably close to 13. That's nearly an entire quarter of the game taken off by the other team's offense. It's a very big plan to let the opposing offense run the clock down.

I think they care, it's their jobs as coaches to care from the first snap to the last.

That is not the defenses gameplan unless they've been doing that all year. We've talked about their poor TOP per drive rankings before.

I'm relaxed and more than happy with the result but if I had to be picky about something it's that.

If you're referring to Urschel, just one

I know he had one penalty. I watched the game. But this guy said he had 3 holding penalties. Not sure what he was watching.

You take those chances on that gameplan, allowing opportunities to playmakers implies that they will make plays. In the first half, with a highly aggressive defense, we took over the game and won it.

There is just no pleasing some people despite a lopsided win, life is not all about looking for negatives/flaws, learn to look for the good in everything, take a chill pill and relax man.

Guys, before you complain... I cannot imagine having to go out there and turn it up for 4 qtrs. It was hot as crap, and I was in the stands... Not on the field

guys remember looking for the negatives is the coaches job not ours. we are allowed to have positive thoughts and be happy with a victory for more than 1 night.

Not tooting my own horn, but between the 2012 run and my being 3 for 3...uh, yeah. You're welcome!

I think you've earned yourself a spot on the team. We should cut someone for you and your clutch first posts with the pool picture. I'm sure we can make room somewhere. I think your talents are definitely a part of the success.

Not joking. You better get that first post each week.

I nominate 1/28/01 to put up all the game thread pool pics for the rest of the season. Nobody post before he has it in.

And, I was one of the doubters that is happy as hell to say I was wrong, wrong, wrong!

Caaaaaaam ooooooh Caaaaaam

Please.

Also: you know this game was a blowout when the mods don't care about us talking about other games here.

If this mod didn't have Internet issues and already used 75% of my data plan I would have helped pick up on it faster! BTW WHAT A GAME!

Wow I worked today. Missed most of the live game, so couldn't comment in here. But it's very telling to see that this game thread has about 1000 fewer comments than the one last week. I guess most fans prefer to complain about rather than complement the team. Lol
