Everyone calling it "inconsistent road team"

How about the colts just played some dang good football yesterday? And we started an undrafted rookie at LT who got exposed

Yes we didn't play a dominant game but the colts played pretty well

I'm confident we'll bounce back strong and win this week

Exactly the way I feel, just give credit to where credit is due. Pagano outcoached Kubiak, and thats not a shame. We know damn well how good Pagano is. we're going to bounce back.

Here's my thoughts on last week. We lost a very winnable /close game on the road to the Colts who IMO are the best team in the league right now.

I think we beat Tampa convincingly.

The Ravens are "inconsistent" on the road in my eyes!  Sure, the Colts played ball however, the Ravens also made too many mistakes and failed to capitalize on their opportunities (which is crucial when you are on the road) to win that game.  But what gets me is that no one seemed to use the "undrafted rookie" card as an excuse when he played very well last week against the Panthers so I refuse to use it in this case.

I agree!  Pagano being defensive minded knew exactly where the weak link in the Ravens offensive line's armor would be and he attacked it over and over and over again!

I love the Ravens too but let's keep it real in here please!  Lol!  The Bucs just put up 31 points on the Saints in New Orleans!  They were up 31-20 in the 4th quarter and the Saints needed O.T. to beat them 37-31.  Now the Bucs head home with vengeance in their hearts of being so close and not finishing off the Saints to face the Ravens.  Also, what most fans seem to forget is that the Ravens (at least to me) have a way of playing "down" to their opponents level instead of playing "up" to their own!  So in this game, anything could happen!

Lol. An out of conference road game? Win or lose the season is not a bust. I find much of the overreaction to this last game comical. Look around the league. This is the nfl. There are no teams and no offenses that don't have bad weeks. Especially on the road. The ravens are still one of the best few AFC teams. I want to look further into what the bucs have been doing since that Thursday night debacle before giving my take on the match ups. But these type of statements are more foolish than all the talking heads changing the power rankings after every win and loss.

oh ok lets self handicap and down play this the game so if they lose we can say oh its okay its a non afc game it doesn't hurt Instead of a winners attitude and going to kick butt and take names, got it. Its the NFL all games count and this team cant afford to go on the road if they make the playoffs...

Agree the Ravens should win 27-10.

Bucs fan here.

I wonder why a good number of you think it will be a walk in the park with my Bucs. I guess the beatdown on thursday night against the Falcons is making you say so, but we had several key players injured that game, particularly Gerald McCoy and Michael Johnson who are the only factors on D-line and everyone else is just plain trash. That game was just a slew of all things negative, like fumbles, interception followed by more fumbles, STs screw ups, penalties etc and the team just gave up midway in the 2nd. The Vikes were blown out the same way against the Pack on TNF and they are the same team that won against Falcons by 2 TDs. And then the Pats who were blownout by Chiefs and scored a garbage time TD. Judging a team on 1 bad game where all bad things snowballed is not a good assessment imo.

I think Ravens will win, but I believe they will only win it in 4th qtr in closing minutes instead of the way you guys think. The loss to a supposedly bad Saints team looks bad, but the Bucs played them in their dome and had 15 penalties called on them. Most of the critical ones in 2 minutes within 4th qtr and OT that could have either kept their possible game winning drive alive or gotten the Saints O off the field (3rd and 10 in OT, pressure gets on Brees' face in a second and he throws the ball away. Flag!! Illegal hands to the face on a CB. Replays show he was going for the chest of WR, the WR deflected his hands upwards to disengage, the hands barely graze his facemask after a ricochet. Penalty!!, 1st and 10 Saints).

Heck, the only interception Glennon had was a clean pushoff by DB preventing the WR from making the catch on a big bomb near the goal line, a blatant PI that wasn't called. I know it is the loser's mentality to complain about refs, but anyone that watched the game would come out with the same feeling that the Bucs got screwed by the refs and also shot themselves in foot after thoroughly outplaying Saints with mistake free efficient offense and opportunistic defense.

As far as my username goes ("Raven Butcher"), that was a ridiculous name I came up with back when I thought Bucs were playing good football in 2010. I was here on smack talk then, but in the life of a Bucs fan smack talk is not allowed.

Well, put it this way...

1. The Ravens practically never blow out anybody on the road. If this game were in Baltimore, the Bucs probably lose by 20, but with the game in TB, it will likely be a much closer game.

2. I think the Bucs are going to struggle to run the ball on the Ravens, and therefore we can force TB to be one dimensional. As such, you're going to need a big game out of Glennon and VJAX (no Mike Evans) in order to stay in the game in my opinion.

For what its worth, it appears basing anything on how well you did against the Saints right now is inaccurate. That team, much like the Patriots, is getting public credit purely based on past performance. There is literally nothing the Saints do well as a football team right now. Make no mistake... the Ravens will probably be the best defense you guys have faced this season so far, and given that the Bucs aren't exactly known for being a team that can consistently put points on the board, I think it will take some forced turnovers and some Ravens mistakes in order for TB to pull the upset.

Greetings from Tampa Bay.

I'm personally hoping for a Bucs win too, of course, but since we've stunk it up at home the crowd should be no factor.

Stop the pass, and you stop the Bucs, the defense has a hole a mile wide 10 yards deep in the center, made for tight ends, I expect you guys to go there all day long.

Ah well.

For your amusement, here's the relevant Predict The Score thread from my regular board that was the direct descendant of the board the team killed back in May 2010.

Enjoy, and if by some miracle you make it in to laugh at us in there, be sure to predict a score first, I made a winners sig for a Lion last year...

This should be a good game regardless. Buccaneers have some nice TE over there and are featuring them, and they have Rainey and Martin, making a very nice RB corp, whether or not one of them plays or plays well. You still have that preparation factor.

They have a decent OL as well, so it should be a rather decent test for our pass rush. Outside of Jackson they don't have much at WR. Then again, we have a very suspect secondary so Herron and Shepard and those other guys might tear us up.

We need to dominate on the OL because they have McCoy and Johnson. Can't sleep on those two. Ever. They have a decent secondary in Verner, Goldson and Banks and others.

I went back and watched the last two TB games. My thoughts are they have only a couple of real playmakers. They have a couple of players that can do pretty well against lesser teams. They have a susceptible O-line and I think we can disrupt their passing game and I strongly feel that we can stop their run game. Their defense has weaknesses that I think our receivers will be able to take advantage of. I also think that we will be able to run on them at will. Last if we give Hurst a little help, Joe will be fine. We will be able to win this game. I usually do not predict scores but I will for this one. 28-9  Come on guys and bring your A game.

Go Ravens!!

And unfortunately, at times; our Ravens have a way of playing down to the supposedly "lesser" teams levels and making them look like legit Super Bowl contenders.  Don't read too much in to that stuff man!  Let's just hope for a W on the road.  Sheesh!

Bucs offense is no where compared to the Colts offense of which we held up to 20pts.  It's up to our offense.....

We should beat the the Bucs

And that starts with a CONSISTENT OFFENSE. Just run the ball, score points, and limit turnovers.

You all are funny. After the crazy predictions last week, you all are back here making more of them like the Bucs don't keep showing improvement as we show more of the same inability to get it done on the road. MNF against the Jaguars. That is all...

As it was shown during the Steelers' game with them, they are beatable. Their defense is fast and the d-line is great but the running game should still be able to be a relevant part for the Ravens offense since our offensive line has been able to get the backs going. On the other side of the ball: Glennon is a good, but young quarterback. As a second year QB he'll make the mistakes that happen with a younger inexperienced player and I feel that our secondary is better than that of the Steelers (obviously). It will be another tough game. Not necessarily an easy win but should be a W regardless.

No mental mistakes.  If we get dumped by this team then all media hell will break loose.  I want more Taliaferro, Jus and Daniels work on that field.  Will Brown finally be a factor?    If Will Hill is out there you know they will plan schemes on him .

Militant X1 sees it as I do.  However if our guys play down to them then another one TD or FG game could occur.

With all the hype Will Hill's getting around here, I think people are going to be hugely disappointed when he initially returns.

I hope you are right! The team cannot put that type of pressure on the defense (40 minutes) and expect them to continue to perform at championship level week after week. Lets hope for a better game from all involved.

Based on how he played last year, why? He was a complete stud last season on a bad Giants D and Pees had nothing but praise for him during the offseason wishing he was available week one. Debbie Downing at its finest with you. More reason to be hopeful then not.

I never followed him so I don't get the hype. He still has to prove himself worthy.

Seeing the hype around here you'd think he'll be the next coming of Ed Reed who'll help Elam's woes and mask our CB issues. Reality is that he's been out of action for half the season and hasn't even been allowed to train with the team yet. I've said before that a huge part of Dallas Clark and Ed Dickson struggling early last season came down to having no preseason meaning they took time to adapt, and we're seeing it again with Webb.

For what it's worth I see no reason to think he won't be a decent player, but there are going to be some epic cobwebs to say the least. But more than that, I'm seeing the bar raised pretty bloody high for him before he even takes a meaningful snap in purple. Forgive me for wanting to wait before hyping him up.

Where are our TE sets? I know Pitta is hurt but could we at least give the young ones a chance before we dump the TE sets.

Will Hill is actually a pretty damn good palayer. Just doesn't get the recognition. If plays to his ability he will be a huge addition to the secondary. I'm pretty sure that if he's playing week one green doesn't score that td on us.

I like your belief in him but you can't change the play. We looked like high school D in that moment of time. I'll reserve my judgement when I see him play like many of you predict. He has to use his pads first to impress me.

As long as he's better than Stewart, (and I'm sure he will be) the hype is warranted. The ones who aren't excited haven't followed him, I've been follwing him since his Florida day's when he was paired with Elam in college. And they were damn good. Hill has proven himself on the field already. Besides can you blame people for being excited, after seeing the crap we put at Free safety recently?

We must don't trust Gillmore as  a  receiver at the moment but they do allow him to come in and block sometimes.
