Official Vent thread vs Indy : who should walk home

This loss is squarley on Kubes...then the O-line and finally on Joe. Kubes failed to call plays to establish and emphasize the run; the O, especially KO and Hurst were victimized most of the day, and finally, when Joe did have time many of his throws or decisions were questionable.

Hats off to D! They did what they could to give us any kind of chance.

P.S. If CLE wins, we are in a world of hurt.

Offense horrible. Torrey Smith weak mentally stone hands has returned. O line couldn't block anyone.

Torrey forgot how to catch. Jacoby can't catch period. Hurst apparently can't do squat against a decent pass rush. The secondary is still very, very bad. The playcalling is questionable (what happened to the run game?).

Mosley is DROTY though.

Offensive line wasn't as bad as you think. Running game was there, but we didn't run enough. We handled four man rushes well, but we couldn't do crap against the blitz.

The pass protection wasn't that good. I watched  the entire OL get pushed back and not hold their assignments very well. That caused some issues, especially when I saw a few times a guy go completely unblocked. Those were definitely issues. I also recall watching Hurst just not have enough strength and get pushed back and allow the OLB to come underneath him for the pressure too many times. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good.

Hurst isn't good enough. We need someone else there asap.

Why We have zero decent recievers is beyond me. Torrey needs to be replaced because he forgot how to football. SS just got outplayed by a good corner.

We came into this week overrated.

Also disappointed with the pass rush today. That O-line was nothing special and many times we gave Luck all day to throw.

The defense did a fine job, but that's to be expected given the amount of resources we sunk into it over the past few seasons.  This offense ... Flacco was subpar today, but he had absolutely no help from anyone anywhere.  Torrey specifically - I get that Flacco isn't going to win awards for most accurate passer in the league, but when he's got a revolving door of Mason, Boldin, Smith, Heap, Pitta, Daniels, Clark, Stokley, KW, Houshmanzadeh over the years, all of whom have eventually found a way to click with him, and Torrey is still slowing up on too many passes, just doesn't ever seem to be completely in synch with Joe.  Luck struggled against us, but his receivers made plays when they needed to.  And more importantly, his o-line stood strong in pass-pro.

The day that Eugene and Will Hill come back can't come soon enough. CJ and Brooks were excellent, even Elam played well but the offense came too little, too LATE. Let's go on a win streak for the weeks to come. GO RAVENS

That's fair. I was looking more generally, as KO, Yanda, and Wagner all played pretty well. Zuttah and Hurst played poorly, and as we learned last year, it only takes one or two weak links to make the line look bad.

cut CB Brown, trade Webb and Torrey. find a new left tackle. Oh and by the way Tell Dean Pees to back his bags, or get with the program . To many Zone plays, 3rd and 3 and the CB's line up 10 yards deep. Burned every time.

Hey Jacoby... What would you say... you do here?

I thought that  call against Jones during the punt return was bull crap. He never touched the ball

Goodbye, Torrey Smith. Sorry, but when it counts most often than not, Torrey "small ball" Smith is nowhere to be found...ya, ya, love him for what he did against PItt in 2011...uh, ya, 3 years ago. To be fair, I did not expect us to win today, but man, it was there as D exceeeded expectations. Having the O fail to get on the bus to the game today, makes me more angry than if we would have just got flat out outplayed in all phases.

Wow some people need to calm down. One bad game for the OL, without Monroe, and all of a sudden we need to fire everyone. We've had one of the best OL's all season...

Flacco didn't play great. He wasn't horrible, but it could have been better. If Marlon makes that deep play on the scramble play, everyone would be singing Flacco's praises, but Flacco still could have played much better. However, for those that are placing any small percentage of blame on him for that last play, you should just never talk about football again. There is no blame on the QB when a receiver is by himself, gets both palms and ten fingers on the ball, and doesn't come down with it. You can't just run down the field and hand it to a guy, and there are very few windows where a ball can be placed and still make it to the receiver. Torrey had his opportunity to step up and make a play this year when it mattered most. He dropped the ball, literally and figuratively. Having said all that, we would have still been down 7 with little time left on the clock. He doesn't get sole blame for the loss, but Torrey deserves complete and total blame for that last play.

Turnovers lost us the game. Forgot to mention that. Steve, Jacoby, looking at you two. Hell, you too Joe. Don't force passes to Torrey. He won't fight for it.

I find it comical that Ngata is leading the team in INTs.

our corners dont get infront of recievers..they just wait for them to get the catch :S
