Week 5 - Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at Indianapolis Colts (2-2)

I don't get why Indy has a bad defense every year but when they play us they look like one of the best defenses in the league.

I think that was our road woes as much as anything. The OL has to be a concern for road matches going forward.

And what about TORREY, and JJ? And dean pees zero blitz

The Colts first TD came after a FLACCO pick(in which he had plenty of time to pass) giving them a short field.  The next TD drive was terrible play by the defense, but the offense did them no favors with the constant 3 and outs.

I'll bite. Was he over the top, cause to me it looked like single coverage with no safety to Torrey's side.

It was a legitimate question.. Not looking for anybody to hate on

I really wanna see a replay of that from sky view sometime

Double team and take Smith Sr. out of the game and we look a lot like last year.

Worse, it exposes that Torrey CANNOT dominate an easier matchup on the opposite side. I think Kubes MUST have been shocked by this, since Im sure Torrey routinely does this in our practices.

In our defense, we aren't being paid millions of dollars to catch the football.

Also, if Torrey hadn't dropped a ton of easier balls, he probably wouldn't get so much flack for this one, but now it's a disturbing trend.

I agree Torrey is not having a good year based on dropped balls but that play was tough to make, Flacco had to released the ball or get sacked, which threw off the timing and Torrey tried his best to catch it, it did not work out, end of story. Just because someone was paid millions does not mean they will performed to perfection, despite being professional football players, they are human beings who are flawed from time to time just like the rest of us. Sure, I get upset but I don't call out players and call them names or treat them like dirt just because they are not perfect.

That is what everyone is questioning, when have you seen Torrey make a tough play? I can't remember any. I don't wanna sound like I hate Torrey, but I don't see what improvements he has made since his rookie year.

Actually, he has been improving every year, last year he had over 1.100 yards. He is not starting out like we are used to seeing him and people are ready to give up on him too soon. How about that catch he made against the Redskins in preseason and he got hit so hard and still held onto the ball. Takes a tough guy to make that play and still wanted to keep playing. It is 60 minutes of football and there is a long list of plays that Ravens players made mistakes, without those mistakes, we would not have been in a position of do or die in the last series. Torrey's dropped pass just happened in the end and more noticeable compare to all the mistakes we made today is all.

uh.....people have been bashing torrey non stop, and it's deserved.  I'm sick of flacco zealots, though.

I'll say it again here. Pagano in a genius coaching move took advantage of a hidden weapon, AQ Shipley. Their defense studied the offensive play calls and had all the habits and tendencies of the O-line to work on this week. They knew what play was coming before the ravens ran out. They knew from Shipley's knowledge of the offense, exactly how to stop it. Great job Chuck.

The offense we know will be back next week with out inside info to use against it. We got played today.

On a positive note, Pees had the defense playing great despite crippling injuries.

The loss sucks, but we can and will overcome this non division loss.

Don't compare the two. Rodgers is constantly making plays on the run behind a terrible o line. That's why he's the best qb in the league though.

That offensive line is not as bad as people try to make it out to be in any way. That's one of the better pass blocking offensive lines in the NFL

Yeah Rodgers has a good O-line he is working behind

He's one of the least hit and pressured quarterbacks in the league consistently. He just holds onto the ball for a very long time

Yeah agreed. If he had a bad O-line, they wouldn't be as successful as they have been recently

I don't get why Indy has a bad defense every year but when they play us they look like one of the best defenses in the league.

It was our O-Line.... That's what made their defense look so great...  They knew it was a weakness and were sending 5 or 6 every play.  They were either coming right up the middle or around the left side....  every play.

Just saw a replay on NFL Network. Sky-view on the sideline. A safety was coming over the top. Joe could have led him a little better, but Torrey would have gotten drilled. So, it's make a tough catch and get out of bounds or make the catch and have to hold on after getting completely blindsided.

I blame the pool pic dude who clearly flubbed this game up from the get go.

Just a suggestion from me guys and gals.  From now on, if you don't have a pool to post, don't be the first to post....

Yeah the online was so bad that I really cant blame Joe on this one. Ironic that the one time he had ample time,he threw a pick.Go figure.

My observations from this game:

1. I'll start with the most controversial. Defense did not play as well as most people think. Yes the redzone D was once again superb, but how about coming up with a stop before then? Colts were converting third downs at will until they got to the redzone. Don't get me wrong, they played pretty well all things considered, but I would not go as far to say we wasted a excellent defensive performance.

2. Need to see more from our edge rushers. Yes the Colts kept extra blockers in, but multiple times Suggs and Doom went 1v1 on a TE and could not generate pressure. Worst game from Suggs this season.

3. Jimmy had another excellent day. The kid is a top CB in the league. The other guys not so much

4. Next game Kubiak needs to make better adjustments. With the Colts pass rush being so effective I would have thought to see more from the Shotgun. Nope, we stayed most of the game in a singleback 11 look. With how quickly the pressure was coming Joe had no chance. But Joe could have audibled.

5. Torrey Smith. Disappointing. I cannot place my finger on it, but he always looks awkward going up for a catch. I noticed this his rookie year.

6. Mosley is the truth.
7. Too much playaction, not enough runs. It is better to use the run to setup PA than use the PA to set up the run.
