Which 7 Players Contributed The Most To This Season's Success?

9 posts in this topic

I know there are MANY players to be a huge factor, but which players do you feel are the Top 7 to our success as a whole for the entire season thus far?

I would say (In no order of best) :

Offense:
Joe Flacco
Derrick Mason
LeRon McClain

Defense:
Ray Lewis
Terrel Suggs
Ed Reed
Haloti Ngata

i agree with those players but it would be hard not to include lorenzo neal because he's been in there blocking for all three rb's and sam koch has to be up there

Unsung heroes:

Fabian Washington taking over in a battered secondary and playing phenomenally.

Sam Koch *always* pinning the opposing team in a bad spot with his God-given leg.

Jim Leonhard being amazing on returns AND making key defensive plays, taking over for an injured Dawan Landry.

We're a banged up team this year, and without these guys we'd stand no chance.

Thats a big one for me. Very underrated but he's EVERYWHERE that ball is and he's had some great returns. All in all the fact that our team is playing AS A TEAM its hard to just say certain players are the reason we are where we are now. 10-5 with the chance to be in the playoffs. I dont think ANY of this could have happened without John Harbaugh.

Just imagine how good we will be NEXT year after flacco has all the training camps, mcgahee is HEALTHY,Chris Mccalister is BACK.. Theres just so much to look forward to in Baltimore Football right now.

Hmm, It's gotta be Flacco, D-Mase, Le'Ron McClain on offense. Ed, Ray and Haloti on D, and Jim Leonhard on ST/D.

I think we can't and shouldn't pick single players.

Flacco wouldn't have been that good without a great, young O-line.
McClain and Rice wouldn' have been that good without Neal and the O-line.
Heap doesn't have the stats, but very good blocking.
Scott has been great too. Not outstanding stats, but great in run support!
Washington and Rolle also played extremely well, great in pass protection, many dropped INTs.
Without Ray the whole defense wouldn't work the way it did.
The defense also would not have been that good without the great punts of Koch.
Matt Stover has been great from <35 yards.

If I would have to choose a Ravens MVP, it would be John Harbaugh!! What he did this year has been fascinating! 10 wins in this season... no one would have thought that!!

We can only describe the Ravens with one word: TEAM!!!
