Smith Sr. 4 MVP

I agree w/ the majority here ... JJ Watt is the early candidate for MVP. He's so dominant its not even fair, as long as he stays healthy he's a 1st Ballot HOFer.

Yea JJ Watt is your MVP, followed by Rivers. I'd say Sr. is in the bottom 5 of the top 10 behind guys like DeMarco Murray and Andrew Luck.

Smitty has been a most valuable addition, but right now Joe Flacco is the MVP of the Ravens squad.

MVP-A is oline and MVP-B is Flacco.

Yeah, OK, whatever.....lol. The Flacco definitely appreciates the support and would probably agree with you!

He is on pace for 1700+ even when Calvin broke the receiving record I don't think he got a single vote. '

So yeah I'd say he isn't getting the MVP.

The JJ Watt votes are coming in.  I see that. However, we have to realize the guy is in a zone right now and the latter part of the season will give all of us the full vision.  The Topic is about Smith Sr. and at this point his rugged determination and need to play the best he can are the key factors in holding him for lofty status.  He was always like this which is a safe hedge point.  He was "the guy" for Newton whereas the Panthers got best coach merit awards for Rivera.  I think the player contribution to his teams' success is the first parameter for a MVP vote and Steve has earned it.

Outplaying the massive contract he just received.

He's easily my second favorite player in the league behind Flacco and I'm going to get his jersey

Which I have never thought or even considered for a non raven player ever

Same, he's among my favorites as well. Who could possibly dislike him?

I ordered a Rodgers jersey about 4 weeks ago which I haven't done since I was like 10 and was in love with Michael Vick. (5th year Rodger's been on my keeper fantasy team..... Also have a great jersey connect. Jimmy, Yanda and Schoop are on the way as well.)

Still feel a little guilty about it though. Could've gotten a Suggs, Steve or Williams over him. But JJ would be next in line if I was to order a non Raven again. Although I was very close to getting a Jordy Nelson over Rodgers lol.

To keep it on topic, yes, Steve Smith Sr for most valuable Raven in their late 30's. ;)

Well I already have a Manny, the guy didn't have Gausman, my buddy claimed Adam Jones, and the rest of the Orioles who are worthy are uncertain to be here next year. (JJ,Nick,Cruz)

I figured Schoop will be here for awhile, hopefully. Like his upside as well.

Edit: Thought about getting a Tillman but for some reason wasn't feeling it.

Flacco has a new explosive target in Steve Smith.  With his locker room presence it's almost like Ray Lewis never left us.  I see him playing with us for the remainder of his career.  It's nice to see this combination of a QB that can get a receiver the ball and get those types of yards and td's.   Great move Ozzie..

I like Steve Smith and I am happy with what he has done but I don't see MVP out of him. Like a lot of others I have to go with Watt

Since Ray Lewis and Ed Reed....Steve Smith, Sr. has become my favorite Ravens player!  I wanted him to be a Raven earlier in his career.  Better late than never!  Keep ballin' Steve....keep ballin'!

Yeah, next to no chance he would ever get the MVP nod unless he goes absolutely crazy from here on out, even in that case Flacco would get it before Smith simply because he's the one throwing it to him. Not even megatron during his 1900 yard season got the MVP, its almost impossible for a WR to get it.

Johnson was hurt by the fact that he only scored five touchdowns and his team went 4-12. Adrian Peterson actually carried his team to the playoffs, and that helped him immensely to edge out Manning
