Rex Ryan going to Buffalo with EJ Manuel/Mark Sanchez (maybe) as his QB. smh  Didn't he just leave a Geno Smith/Mike Vick circus? Not that I'm criticizing but Rex must be hoping to be named Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes. Atlanta or San Fran, if they offered, had to be better options. Will the Bills follow the same 5-yr downdraft Rex guided the Jets to? We don't play the Bills until the 2016 season; we'll see then. Still smh, perhaps Rex had no better offer.

No body wants him as HC coach; if he looks down to DC, he'll have plenty of offers...

Bills know that Rex is good against the Pats.

Rex is going to a team without a QB and no first round pick. Huh?

Thought he was a slam dunk for Atlanta, but I guess that makes too much sense.

The Bills are expected to hire Rex Ryan as their HC. In terms of his coaching staff, Rex plans on bringing in 49ers OC Greg Roman as the OC of the Bills. Also it should be noted, Rex and Roman worked together here in Baltimore during 2006-2007.

Here could be another shocking fire. If the Broncos lose to the Colts, John Fox could be fired. I can see why as he has Peyton Manning at his disposal, Elway went out of the way to improve the D, and for Fox to not get a Super Bowl, I can see them firing him.

I guess if it's between a qb and an entire defense, a defensive mind like Rex is rolling with the D.

I'm not saying I think it's going to work out well in the long run, but he will probably give the Patriots fits just like he did in New York and he might give Buffalo fans something to believe in... for a little while.

Rex Ryan would have been better off with a team like the Bears or Falcons. With built offense in place and he could build his defense ( even with the Jets the year after they lost Revis they overachieved as a defense because of his scheming. ).

With the Bills he has strong defense again. Excellent front 4 ( returning kiko Alonso ), RB talent ( but injured too much between Jackson and Spiller ). Young WR talent. At QB do they keep

Orton for now.

Buffalo was a 6-10 team 3 years running. This year they make the leap to 9-7. Admittedly Belichick and Brady will retire eventually, but Buffalo at 9-7 and no true franchise QB have lots of problems. Rex is a Raven alum so I wish him success with the Bills and we'll see them in 2016.

Orton said he's retiring though....

Orton is hanging up his cleats, and of course, Buffalo has no first round draft pick to use for the most important position.

Wow, he really should've take the Falcons job. I take Joe over Matty Ice, obviously, but Ryan is still a legit franchise QB. Didn't Rex learn from his time with the Jets how hard it is to find a franchise QB? Heck, he should've learned that lesson from his time with US! It took us so long to find Joe and Ozzie is one of the best GMs in the buisness.

Sure, Rex getting his hands on Mario Williams is scary, but the Bills don't even have a shot at Mariota or Winston in 2015 without a first round pick. So what are the options?  Draft Grayson, Hundley or Petty? Maybe they can trade for Cutler? Ugh.

I really hope he can turn the Bills around, just because I hate the Pats, but I don't know about this decision.

I think the Bills defense are going to be a reckon with but their offense will be like the Jets, field goal all day...

I think his best option is going to the Falcons too, but he's still bitter about not getting hired for the first time over Mike Smith..

Not his fault, he preferred Atlanta, yes. The only thing was that they were dragging their feet when it came to hiring him or not. Bills decided they liked him, and said Rex your our guy. Atlanta meanwhile was like well we like you but........ now Rex is gone. I'm telling you guys, Atlanta is going to end up hiring Josh McDaniels.

Hm.... some interesting news out of Denver.

#Broncos announce time for open locker-room interviews tomorrow, but no time scheduled (yet) for Fox end of year press conference.

Just to clarify, players interviews begin at Noon(3PM here)

The Flacons are a mess and it starts with Dimitroff. This is really the season, when they should've just cleaned house.

Dimitroff and Scott Pioloi are New England guys, that's why they want McDaniels. Sad part is, Atlanta's offense is not the problem. It's their defense and lack of depth that doesn't allow them to overcome injuries. Reason for lack of depth, Dimitroff.

I think it's a fine situation for Rex. I don't think the owner wants to move on from Manuel yet, and I think Rex could get a QB maybe in the second round. He might like a guy like Hundley if he's there.

I think Adam Gase could step right in there to take over for Fox.....His name keeps popping up as a potential Head Coach and I think Elway would not want to let him go at this point.

"as recently as yesterday morning, John, Elway made very clear that, win or lose, Fox would be coming back."

Hmmm....

Sounds exactly like the same load of of malarkey Elway kept repeating about Tebow, right up until he signed Peyton. What a slime ball

Pundits on NFLN now discussing how the Broncos seemingly went into that game yesterday without a game plan.

Think it has anything to do with the fact that half their coaches were out interviewing for new jobs over the bye?

Gerry Dulac ‏@gerrydulac 2m2 minutes ago

Dick LeBeau out as defensive coordinator. Says he and #Steelers have agreed to mutually part ways: "Time to go in a different direction."

Wow! Dick LeBeau IS the Pittsburgh Steelers, this is something I never envisioned.

Not that surprising to me. The steelers have had a guy waiting in the wings for years now. I think he's their linebackers coach. They probably didn't want to take a chance on someone sniffing around. I think he's already highly paid for an lb coach.

Whoa did not see that coming

If any of the coaches who led their teams to the playoffs were being fired, I'd have gone with Rivera. This is kinda cray-cray...

Anyone wanna bet that John Elway only did this to protect Adam Gase, while promoting him to become the next head coach of the Broncos?

don't understand all the love with him. Surely peyton has more to do with that offense than him?

@VicLombardi

NEW INFO: Entire Broncos coaching staff let go. Not just John Fox. All assistants gone according to several players.

Good luck with the rebuild. See you in 10 years.

Uh, wow. I'm really at a loss on that one.

Lombardi's now saying not all coaches have been fired, but all have been given permission to look for other jobs. But no-one's sure what's going on.

19 free agents, uncertainty (at best) at QB and possibly an entire coaching rebuild job for one offseason. Oh yeah, then there's preparing for the draft.
