Apparently Chip is going to get more power and GM Howie Roseman has been promoted to VP of player personell.

The #Eagles announce a fairly large change. Howie Roseman elevated to executive VP/Football Ops. Chip Kelly runs player personnel.

The Bills have requested permission to interview Bengals OC Hue Jackson and Lion DC Teryl Austin for Head Coach.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/04/bills-want-to-interview-hue-jackson-teryl-austin/

The Bucs are interviewing former 49ers OC Greg Roman for their OC position.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/04/report-greg-roman-interviews-for-bucs-offensive-coordinator-job/

Also here's something to keep an eye on. The entire Cowboys coaching staff become free agents as soon as the Cowboys lose a playoff game. Scott Linehan, DC Rod Marinelli and Head Coach Jason Garrett all become free agents as their contracts expire. The Raiders do want to talk to Linehan, but if the Cowboys lose, Jason Garrett becomes the best available head coach.

Interesting. If Marvin Lewis gets fired, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bengals going for Garrett. Keep their hands off Kubiak.

PLEASE let the Falcons hire McDaniels, I will laugh so hard

The New England connection in Atlanta(Dimitroff and Scott Pioli) are wanting to hire McDaniels as the Falcons new Head Coach.

http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/305440/dimitroff-pioli-want-mcdaniels-as-falcons-hc

Let me just say this if McDaniels ends up in Atlanta some team better be ready to acquire Julio or Roddy White, and some team who needs a QB be ready to acquire Matt Ryan!

Is Marvin Lewis on the outs after falling flat in the playoffs again?

He should be but he probably won't knowing how loyal Mike Brown is.

I love how PFT wrote an article titled "Marvin Lewis continues to be the right man for the Bengals", and then defends Lewis by saying how horrible the Bengals were prior to his arrival and that's why he should keep his job.

Well he is. He fits their culture of mediocrity perfectly!

Would you guys take Marvin Lewis back as DC if he gets fired in the next 48 hours? Kinda wishful thinking I know, but it's an interesting thought.

No, I wouldnt take him over Pees but I think he'll take a year off whenever he gets fired.

yeah, with a bunch of undrafted FA and rookie group of DBs, I don't think anyone better than Pees who can bring out the best of this defense.

Let's go around the Coaching Carousel for Jan 6th:

- Doug Marrone's interview with the Jets didn't go well as it seemss Marrone's head may be getting "big".

- While Kyle Shanahan is interviewing for the Bills HC gig, there is a chance he ends up leaving Cleveland due to the "friction" between the coaches and FO. It is said that a high ranked FO guy texted from the booth to complain about Kyle's play calling.

- Marvin Lewis may be staying in Cincy, but for the second straight year they may lose their OC. Hue Jackson is interviewing for the Bills Head Coaching job on Wednesday. The Bills are also interviewing Lions DC Teryl Austin on Saturday.

- Marc Trestman is interviewing for the Jags Offensive Coordinator position after already interviewing for the Bucs OC opening.

I still don't get why Marrone left.

Same ole Browns, same ole Browns.

I wonder what kind of offense the Bengals will be having with Green, Sanu, a healthy Marvin Jones, Eifert, Gresham, Bernard, and Jeremy Hill.

No comment about Trestman because I just don't care lol.

Like I said in RT, I reckon the Bengals should make a play for Gary Kubiak. Trade for Jay Cutler as a guy who fits the system, see if Brett Hundley falls to them and hey presto you've upgraded the two big things holding you back. I'd absolutely despise them for it, but I think it'd make a lot of sense.

I'm surprised at the Jets not liking Marrone. I'd have thought having a big head would be a requirement for that job.

I doubt Gresham will be there. He's a free agent and looks like the Bengals will let him walk.

I think it would be a good move, but I actually think they would be best with Tom Cable as crazy as that sounds. He knows how to help an OL and he knows how to run the ball. He's also a power football guy and that fits Hill very well. It also helps Dalton, who can benefit more from the play action.

Per Adam Schefter, Giants have parted ways with DC Perry Fewell. They have also parted aways with Cornerbacks coach Peter Giunta as well.

Good point. I didn't even know Gresham was a FA anyways.

Browns and OC Kyle Shanahan have parted ways.  He asked for his release.  They also fired QB coach Dowell Loggains, who was the Titans OC for 2012 and 2013.

Still don't like Kyle Shanahan and glad we didn't get him as our OC but no one could make that Browns offense run.

Loggains was also the guy who told the Browns to draft Manziel. Apparently the story goes Manziel sent Loggains a text that said to hurry up and draft him. Loggains then used it to persuade Haslam and Pettine that Manziel wanted to be there. Then Haslam agreed, and the trade to 22 was made. It is also said he wanted Manziel to start from the beginning. So now Manziel has lost his biggest supporter.

"When I got that text, I forwarded it to the owner (Jimmy Haslam) and to the head coach (Mike Pettine). I'm like, 'This guy wants to be here. He wants to be part of it.' As soon as that happened, Mr. Haslam said, 'Pull the trigger. We're trading up to go get this guy.'"
