The secondary will be carved and I'm expecting a shoot out. Whoever wins the turnover battle will win. Guaranteed.

Actually, zone defense tends to do well against good QBs. I think zone could actually work against Luck, to be honest. But the Colts are a tough team so they had better come to play and I better not see the team relying on JJ, Stewart, etc. I think we need to see some more out of Brooks. He didn't look any worse than Stewart out there when he played today. He at least has the athleticism and speed to make a play on the ball. I also hope we'll see Arthur Brown play but that seems like  a dream more than reality.

No, you don't understand, our guys do not do zone well. They simply do not. Against a QB like Luck, it will be a disaster. They simply do better in man coverage.

Zone could work, but only if the players actually execute and that has been rare so far this season.

It's definitely true that our secondary does not seem to respond well to zone. That doesn't mean that zone is bad. It's just not playing to your strengths. The issue is you need to have some skill in zone because you can't run man the entire game. If you do, you really limit yourself on defense and make things obvious.

It starts with the trenches. I don't like how our secondary matches up, so everyone else will have to light it up.

The COLTS are a very good team. Our secondary will have to play lights out for us to pull this one off. The rest of the team will have to bring their A game. We can do this!!

Last time we played the Colts, it was a playoff game. Yeah it was our SB winning team, and Luck's first year. But we got good pressure on Luck and we scored on that defense. I think we'll be fine.

Offensively the Colts are a great team, but defensively it's the total opposite.  I think this is a fairly winnable game in spite of the fact that it's in Indy.

Strange as it sounds, I think the result of this game hinges more on how the Colts play rather than how we play. The Colts have been proven to be pretty inconsistent this season so far, but when they're on, they're on big time. Most likely the game will be pretty close, but if anyone has the defense in the AFC to stop Luck, I think that it's us. Still, we're on the road (and we obviously usually play better at home), and I think the Colts snap our winning streak in a close one.

Maybe its the 11 drinks, but I think we roll this one. In grand fashion!

i think it will be high scoring 31 24 to us. 4 tds tp 3, 1 fg each

Colts looked crisp earlier. They(like us) got their act together.

We'll see who wins in the trenches. Whoever screws up in critical 3rd downs is going to eat it.

Had this one as a loss before season started because if our road troubles. I think if we win it'll be like 24-20 type of win.

Let's pray that Webb can play THIS game. Ty Hilton and Reggie Wayne are lethal. Luck would tear this secondary apart as it is.

Pees vanilla Zone D will not work with Luck. Concerned about this one.

lol  It has nothing to do with Pees and everything to do with our secondary not communicating and not knowing where they are supposed to be. The hope is they can get at least a little closer to right before next Sunday.

Dean Pees and his play calling are fine.

I wonder if people would be able to pick out what zone schemes the Ravens are using on every single pass attempt during a game and when the Ravens are running man, and then to see the completion percentage of man vs zone to see if this truly is this problem the fans are making it out to be.

Wait, wait, wait. What you're telling me is Dean Pees just calls the plays, doesn't make the players properly execute...? Now that's just crazy

It worked against Luck before.......... It's also worked against Manning and Brady, but hey, what do I know?

No his playcalling is not fine. 3rd & long, 4 man rush, Zone D with players who obviously struggle with Zone defense. We've had this conversation before, his scheme might work elsewhere but does not fit the strength of our players. A good DC would see this and adjust. An arrogant one keeps on calling that dreadful zone and failing in 3rd and long.

Defend him all you like, but anyone with eyes can see our guys perform better in man coverage. Yes they still mess up but not nearly as often and not nearly as big. Zone has its place but not to the extent Pees calls it.

Really? Do you see an Ed Reed in our backfield? I sure don't. Not even close. Again - you are trying to defend the man and his scheme. I am talking about our current players and their strengths. Not "we're doing it my way whether we're good at it or not" attitude Pees seems to have.
