Steve Bisciotti - Best Owner in the NFL.

54 posts in this topic

im sick of the "witch hunt" they admited to letting their feelings for Ray get in the way which i completely understand hindsight is always 20/20 just learn from it. I love Bisciotti as the owner i hope he was sarcastic about the selling the team because i would be rediculously angry if this mess causes him to say it isnt worth it. As far as im concerned they have answered all the questions given more than enough response to the media aqusations. im ready this whole thing to just die at this point its week 4 of the NFL and this is still going on almost a month later.

Other than anyone on ESPN, everyone I've listened to has praised Bisciotti's interview. They basically have said that that is what they expected from Goodell's interview.

Mike & Mike had the author of the article on this morning and I couldn't stand to listen. I prefer the Steve Czaben Show anyway.

When the hubby is home in the morning, I have very little control over what is on our TV....  You know, men and their remotes....

I was referring to the radio in the car. Mike & Mike is televised but I don't think the Steve Czaben Show is.

My husband watches in the morning when he is home.  He was home this morning, but he is a vendor rep...  You know, you see those UTZ guys, Pepsi guys, etc.....  He is a Kelloggs' guy... when he's not home, it's on espnradio in his truck.... I've never liked those two guys...  I despise them even more now.

I know many have said they want to boycott ESPN because of this ... but I'll tell you ... you can't go anywhere. My fantasy team uses Yahoo, so I went out to see the standings in my league and ended up on their home page. Don't even go there - its worse than ESPN.

They reported that his press conference was "offensive" .. he is "tone-deaf" and "borderline misogynistic" (WOW) and is showing a "disturbing trend in the NFL community". Of course, they scanned the 47 minutes of video so they could freeze-frame on a photo with his eyes bugging out to make him look crazy.

It just doesn't matter what Steve would say, it is going to get ripped in the national media. There are very few voices of reason and they are drowned out by the blood-thirsty. It is sickening.

That Yahoo Article has to be the worst thing ive read literally pulled 5 word quotes completely out of context to generate responses, the writter puts these quotes in and then adds a paragraph of his opinion trying to shape Bisciotti into looking like he hates women or something how do some of these witters sleep at night. Ravens should just ignore the media from here on out just say ask the NFL office if they ask anymore question about this.

Well, what do you expect from the people who's daily leading news story is usually a critique of the Kardashian's fashion choices?

NFL Live just opened with over 5 minutes of ripping Bisciotti for not getting the tape (did they not hear his apology) and for not having women in the front office. I wonder how many teams have high-ranking females?

What did they say out of curiosity?

I only listened for a few minutes but it was clear they were biased. One of the core elements of this whole thing is the credibility of the sources. The author just said "very reliable sources" and Mike & Mike ate it up. At least they did for the part I listened too. Maybe they were more fair and balanced later on but it seemed to me to be one sided.

Yes. He was Arnie.

It reminds of what happened to Hensley when he started at ESPN. His writing became noticeable skewed toward the rest of the division, more than likely because he was trying to prove his salt at the national level without the perception that he was a one trick pony.

This is that times a billion though,as KVV is clearly angling to be in the league of guys like Ley, Schefter, Schaap, and other ESPN insiders. Unfortunately his article is shamefully editorial and, as a journalist, in his heart of hearts cannot possibly be proud of it. I view Bayless the same way. He clearly wanted to be a pro athlete, couldn't hack it, and this is his only way to be relevant in the space. He knows it. We all know it.

And ravensdfan said it best....  That report should have had the word "allegedly" all through it....  He wrote it as fact...  and it's not, especially with all those anonymous sources.  If you're gonna use those, you need to say that.

Yea, this is so over blown and stupid. Rd not even about domestic abuse, it never has been for ESPN. They just want headlines.

I hope they realize they are chipping at the integrity of their biggest money maker, the NFL.

BPollard might have been right about the life span of the Nfl

I don't understand what the media wants. It is illegal for the Ravens to get any tape that's part of a federal investigation. For this exact reason. So the defendant isn't fired before he goes to trial. I don't understand why that's so hard for the media to comprehend.

The only team that has a female high up in the organization is the Bengals with Paul Browns daughter. So how can they set that as the standard?

Just something to talk about. There really aren't many women at all in NFL front offices around the league.....so once again rip the league and not pinpoint all of our shortcomings.

I was impressed by Steve as I just finished hearing the entire press conference.  Very candid as usual.  He easily snuffed a lot of notions (like the Ray Rice hush money).  Stuff that the media even had our own fans believing to be true.

There isn't anymore to be done.  The media can keep discussing it, but Steve did a great job of taking the wind out of the sail.

Well, there's also Charlotte Jones-Ross, and I think Bowlen also has a daughter in the organization. But, yeah, inherited the position, every single one of them.

The whole question is just stupid, anyway. This is a FOOTBALL team. We don't have female players and coaches, why should we expect women to be running the FO's? Utterly moronic.

How DARE he defend his integrity! Every ESPN program is being reviewed by their own brass are are being requested to open with the Bisciotti presser and lambaste him. I wonder how much of the nonsense they are being directed to carry on about actually believe what they are saying.

I didnt hear the beginning of Mike and Mike, but the latter portion of the show, it didn't seem that Golic was toeing the party line. His comments sounded a little like Eisenberg's article this in that he said, Bisciotti has apologized, but that's not going to be good enough for some, because no matter how many times he apologizes, they're not going to believe he's sincere ... so there's no point in it anymore. He also indicated  that people who believe that all parties should be tossed out and lose their jobs are being extreme and as long as we learn from this debacle and improve handling of it going forward - that's what matters.

I wonder if his employer had a talk with him about that after the show.

Met Stephen on 2 different unexpected occasions (Aerotek days) and both times he was genuine and down-to-earth with everyone around him. As a matter of fact, for a young up-coming millionaire, he was humbly down-right...normal. He went out of his way to talk to everyone in the room in a real way. Love this guy.

Exert from - How the Owners of All 32 NFL Teams Made Their Money

“Bisciotti is the second youngest sole owner of an NFL franchise behind Dan Snyder. Bisciotti is the first youngest if you don’t count owners who are despised by their own fans.” - Nick Greene

Forbes had him at 5th Best Owner at the start of season. He's still 1st in my book.
