Waiver Wire

With fantasy rolling on players will over and under achieve, which leads us to asking "do I keep him or let him go?"

This being said, after all this debacle about people hitting people not on the football field has left me very thin at Running Back (have Adrian Peterson, Giovanni Bernard, and I had Ray Rice (who I now have Bobby Rainey in replace of)).  Enter the bye week of fantasy stud Bernard, and I only have one RB to start, my question, is it time to cut ties with Torrey Smith?

Here's my team

QB(1): Philip Rivers, Kirk Cousins

RB(2): Adrian Peterson, Giovanni Bernard, Bobby Rainey

WR(3):  Keenan Allen, Michael Crabtree, Steve Smith Sr, TY Hilton, Torrey Smith, Josh Gordon

TE(1):  Jordan Cameron, Travis Kelce

K(1): Mike Nugent

DEF(1): Car

I'm thinking about picking up Lorenzo

drop keenan...i dropped him because i have better receivers and he has been the definition of underwhelming imo. If Chris Ivory is a FA in your league you should pick him up or LT.

I wonder if it has anything to do with playing Peterson and Sherman

Possibly but still I replaced him with steve smith and he has been way better. Maybe I'm overreacting here but I'm 3-0 so I think I'm ok.

I'm expecting a lot of interesting names to be dropped this week in light of all the injuries and the massive week 4 bye.

Pretty much all my byes come in week nine or ten. Plenty of time to futureproof, and I can weigh my options based on who I like. LT might be solid as a Pierce handcuff, and I like Hawkins as a reliable scorer in case I don't like Keenan Allen's matchup.

Pitta & Rudolph.... My two tight ends. -_-

Might go for Owen. I really don't know what I'm gonna do. :(

Yeah, losing Pitta sucks. Fortunately for me I drafted Dwayne Allen as well, but he's pretty hot and cold. If it means anything, I've been overthinking my own Pitta replacement to the point where I'm actually looking at a good kicker with a week 4 bye that gets dropped.

Dwayne Allen and Travis Kelce are good ones, Allen has double digits in standard formats, every week in which he caught a ball

I would have picked up Dwayne Allen but he was claimed in Week 1 or 2, not sure, I just know it wasn't this past week.

So the Eagles D is likely to suck against San Fran, so do I pick up the Lions D (vs Jets) or the Steelers D (vs Bucs)?

Just got AP off waivers. I thought it would be a few more years before that could ever happen.

The real question there is whether or not he's going to play at all this year.

I have him on my money team. Still holding him for now. Could be a boon for playoff time.

I drafted him.... and ray rice... and the panthers D, and picked up Josh Gordon on the waiver wire.... Rice has been dropped, but I'm considering dropping AP for that bench spot through the bye weeks, I at least know Gordon is coming back.... I think the best bet will be Oct 8th

I drafted AP in one league and scooped him up in another 1 or 2 leagues.  But I think its starting to become clear that he won't be playing for the Vikings in 2014. I don't know if we learn much from Oct 8th because whether he strikes a plea deal or not, he'll still be subject to a lengthy suspension.  Plus the Vikings and the fans need to welcome him back on top of that.

That suspension should take into effect the games he's already missed, I really don't think this would have been that big of a deal if the Ray Rice situation never happened.

So happy to end up with Martellus Bennett and Travis Kelce off the waiver wire the last two weeks. I started the year with Pitta & Rudolph. Last week I was shocked Bennett fell to me, this week I'm shocked Kelce fell to me after my THIRD claim.

I'm in a 7 person league with friends but I thought for sure someone would at least take one of them to screw me over lol

I have the Dolphins as my current defense.  They are probably going to get slaughtered by the Broncos this week, so I'm looking at who is available.  Here are what are the seemingly top choices in my league based on projections

Ravens

Jets

Rams

Titans

Buccaneers

As tempting as it is to pick up our own defense, our secondary concerns me.  Actually, just about all of them have secondary concerns, the Rams being the exception.  So any advice?
