He's currently 16th on QBR. It is difficult to have any faith in a metric where Stafford is in the Top 10 with multiple INTs though. Outside of Week 1 we aren't passing nearly as much though.

Yeah, like I say I'm dubious of QB stats. It's even weirder to see people say they'd take a guy like Stafford or Romo over him just because the stats say so.

Move Elam to nickel where he played well vs Steelers

Or have him play strickly strong safety, in the box... Run defense and blitzing...like a young Polamolu or Pollard

Stewart it also in the box SS, both Stink of back water suage plant in coverage.

Give Brooks the Free Safety shot in Centerfield

Im sick and tired, of watching WRs blow by our Safeties and Elam and Stewart looking confused...

Give Brooks a shot at Free Safety....

James Ihedigbo last year was better then both Elam and Stewart at this point... His Football IQ was on another level, he was a Strong Safety but when he was in coversge he knew his limitations, and he made impact plays like Pollard and Reed

Whether it be INTs or Crushing hits that cause fumbles etc...

GIVE BROOKS A SHOT!!!!!

Im going to continue to bang the Brooks drum...until he gets a shot...

I wont accept this PATHETIC PLAY FROM THE SAFETIES. 2 Strsight years trying to sell me and us the fans on a defense without a true Free Safety?!!!!

Not happening!

We drafted this young stud for a reason... Now give him a shot

That's the main thing..

We aren't gonna pass it enough this year for Joe to look good in any stat category

Elam looks like a rookie whose shoes are untied. I stopped counting the number of blown coverages on Sunday. I think the Ravens should take a lesson from the Orioles and use some second string-standby subs for the secondary. Like the Orioles, they may find some diamonds in the rough.

GIVE TERRANCE BROOKS A SHOT!!!

Both Elam and Stewart cant cover Centerfield to save their lives.

You cant tell me Brooks is worse then both of them.

We drafted this dude to be our true ball hawking free safety!!

Give this guy a shot!!!

Elam and Stewart are both Strong safeties.. Who are in the box players... ONLY!!!!

With Elam being a solid Nickel too..

Play Elam at Nickel, since he did well vs Steelers

Or play him as traditional Strong Safety...like a young Polamolu or Pollard... Strickly blitzing and run defense...

Then Give Brooks the job of playing Centerfield

Because a 2 Strong Safety secondary has not WORKED!!!! These last 2 year

I'll disagree there. He'll look good in yards per pass attempt, completion percentage, and TD-INT ratio. These are the important stats that are too often overlooked by fantasy football "experts." Those first two are completely overlooked. In my opinion, those are the only stats that matter for a QB.

Will HIll is the solution

..not long now.

I hope you're right - conveniently Welker fell into the "remove suspension immediately " club (surprised? It's the Broncos after all) and Hill is in some "gray" area. Yep. Right.

I hope he's ready to go Week 6 and it isn't another 3 games before he sees the field.

no conspiracy. Welker was caught once. Hills been banned multiple times since entering the league

No, its the Ravens. The world is out to get us and keep us down!

True. Plus, at this point, I don't think the team wants the possibility of any more negative press associated with them if his suspension were to be reduced. (No Favors!!) Sometimes it's better just to lay low and let things ride themselves out.

He's not a charity case.

How about instead of being "given" something, you actually EARN something.

Radical concept there.

Diggs actually played on a probowl level last year. He was extremely underrated. He made alot of players for us and , since every like PFF to compare Will Hill , he was PFFs fifth or sixth best safety. I think he covered alot for Elam.

15th, largely due to his second best run grade. He was 72 out of 86 in coverage. If you look at his grade, he was extremely inconsistent week to week

I don't understand why the fanbase is so up in arms about Elam. I remember when he used crucify Jimmy Smith on these boards and look where he is at now.

I never crucified Jimmy Smith. Not once. In fact I stood behind him and defended him while others chastised him. I will say, however, that while I initially liked Elam he's not showing the same potential that Jimmy demonstrated. I've boiled it down to a few reasons. He's either over thinking things, is not being used right, or just isn't smart enough. He either needs better coaching or he'll just never make it. I'm not ready to give up on him but perhaps benching him will help him. I think we might want to consider it as things develop.

I think it is all nonsense with the Elam bashing. The kid is playing all over the field. Strong and free safety, nickle corner and probably water boy to boot. To me it is crazy to expect ANY player to excel under those conditions. There was a article talking about communication being bad. I can definitely see this being a problem. Instead of organized chaos it is unorganized chaos.

Our secondary is in shambles. Matt has been playing out of position since he got here. Give him a break and let things play out. Hopefully we can shore things up back there and get him some help. That way  he can play his position and his position only. I have faith when that happens he will do well.

The simple observation is that we need a true free safety back there. This the biggest problem i see.

I agree. We're still in need for a true FS whether if it's Brooks, Hill or somebody we acquire. Since Stewart doesn't appear to be the answer for now, once we get the FS, we won't be able to give up the big plays and help our secondary (plus our pass rush).

Until we see more out of Taliferro Pierce is still the best back we have. When he was at his best he was a monster.

Forsett doesn't have the body or power for too many carries and Lorenzo is a rookie.
