Yes!!! 6-0 under Harb. I like it!

Didn't we wear black last year and lose to the Packers? At least our line isn't that horrifically bad this time around.

I'm sure this will prove a great game to watch. You got Smitty up against his former team so he's got even more reason to turn up on the field Sunday. Tucker hardly ever misses his target so if Flacco can get him within range we can at least kick a field goal to help put points on the board. Where we are lacking is defense --- and this is precisely why I don't really get what we're doing with our d-line.

Pitta is out for the rest of the season. Ngata can be a strong player when he wants to, but he's not consistent; it really just depends on which way the wind is blowing. Does anybody even remember Canty being on the field? Everyone has been talking about this was going to be his year ..... so far we've not seen anything from him. And last game he went down and limped off the field. For what I can't tell you but at least he did make it back out. Canty is a real nice guy but this is the time for him to step up and show us more. You can bet the Panthers are studying the tapes and they recognize our defense is weak. That's not good because if we don't have enough power to hold them back this will allow the offense to put more points on the board.

Then take a look at who DIDN'T practice: Left tackle Eugene Monroe (knee), outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (thigh), cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee, ankle), defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) and defensive end Chris Canty (knee) all did not practice today. That's a pretty good chunk of our defense. I would like to be more optimistic going into Sunday .... but the offense can't do it alone.

Canty batted down a pass on that crucial 3rd down in the second half of the Browns game...but yeah I don't notice him other than that. Seeing as the Ravens signed Guy, we'll probably see even less of Canty this Sunday depending on the severity of his injury

Part of the 4th and inches failure is playcalling as well. At the goal line we did 2 QB sneaks in a row - really? C'mon. Then we do a pitch last week instead of the QB sneak in a more open field where it probably would have succeeded.  Kubiak is making  some mistakes but at least he then makes the adjustments. I expect our short yardage game to get better.

It's 4th&inches!  4th&inches!  So, to me that is an excuse!  Get it done!  But, like you, I hope that the Ravens short yardage game improves.

Black on White, not Blackout. There is a difference and don't let anyone, ANYONE tell you there isn't!

(White on Black needs a return for those keeping score)

Thank you! And it all starts with Flacco!

Monroe out Knee surgery. Oh No. Instead of Lawrence Guy on D and Supernaw as another TE we should have picked up suitable replacements for Monroe. Best player in the Oline has to protect Joe or he revisits the horror of 2013

@Mili

The worst Joe position is WR. Remember last year when he stood there and the offensive coachs gave the other team a one man advantage

Our backup LT is James Hurst, who was one of the first college OTs to keep a lid on JD Clowney. Not that I expect him to be the second coming of Jonathan Ogden, but at the same time he's clearly capable so I do think we should wait before planning for a top 10 draft pick next year.

A few guys are pumped we are wearing black. The execution and play call are what matters.TD's not FG's. The Bengals scored on a 77 yard td pass with some gummy bone defenders left in Greens' wake. We need next men up attitudes instead of classic black uni's.

Score early keep them down and waste their ego.

A few  years back I toured the Owings Mills complex, this was written on the white board in the locker room.. we lost that game. :(  Time to retaliate. :)

The injury bug is getting old.  However, Monroe hasn't looked too good the past couple weeks.  In fact he graded out as our worst OL.  I have faith that Hurst can pick up the slack.  Our OL seem to like the new blocking system with the new offense.  I would rather Monroe get back to 100% for the end of the year.

The one thing I'll bash Joe on and absolutely hate about him, is how bad he is at QB sneaks. Drives me crazy.

He has gained us a couple of key first downs on QB sneaks already this season.  Another one was a long yard to the goal line and he wound up getting it to about the 1 inch line, then on the next play he got it in there but we had a false start penalty negate it.  Last week he had another successful sneak for a TD that the refs didn't call a TD and on the challenge they STILL didn't call it, but he definitely scored that TD.  His failures haven't been his fault.  One was the fact that we shouldn't have even ran a QB sneak with a long yard to go to the end zone, another was the penalty negating a TD, the other was the refs not calling a legit TD.  What exactly is there to criticize with the way he ran any of these QB sneaks this season?

Leader* of the O-line. Both guards are more talented players.

Since it's supposed to be hot and sunny Sunday, that might turn out to be true.

Hot, huh? That would be bad magic.

You'd think with his size he would be among the best in the league with sneaks. Throughout his career he hasn't been anything special in that regard. For this season, I thought he scored a TD on that one play also that didn't get called. But for the most part I feel like he's been stopped quite a bit. He should be money at them.

No, we didn't wear Black on Black (That means all black). Anyway, the one thing that I'm truly not going to do is to get caught-up with what happened (negatively) last year. Gotta' stay up.

GO Ravens!!!

I have a feeling Carolina will be ready to go in this game, I think we will need to fight a hard fight to get the win although hopefully Steve Smith comes out fired up against his former team. I think this one could be really close.

Agreed with all of those points. No way Carolina stinks up the joint two games in a row. No way. Not with that defense. Start off strong and feed off the crowd. They didn't take the Browns lightly (thank gosh), so I expect the same mentality.

I made a killer picture for the Panthers game. Well, sorta dumb, but it'd be cool if I can get it up before anyone else.

Its funny, you look at this forum and see all the "oh this game is going to be tough" and "we may not win this thing" and "oh I am nervous about this one"and over at the Panthers forum it is the .Same.Exact.Thing. Neither fan base seems to think their team is good enough to win.

As do I. I also can't believe the relative silence on this game thread. There seems to be a real lack of hype.

Well at least they're realistic. But at the end of the day, anything can happen in the NFL. Just so I don't have a heart attack again (figuratively of course), we just need to have a STRONG start and not let up.....

I know its different gameplans but I sort of hope Harbaugh and Kubiak watched that Giant's game tonight. If you want a free lesson in scoring redzone touchdowns, the giants could not have executed better. Eli's TD passes tonight were of 5, 6, 6, and 2 yards, and could have had another one from about 5 yards although it was questionably ruled the reciever lost the ball before making a "football" move. I love them splitting that 6'6 tight end out wide and allowing him to run slant and gos and get leverage. I don't know how Gilmore has been playing at all, but I would love to see us split him and marlon brown out wide on opposite sides and utilize that size in the red zone. It may be that our players aren't up to the task, but I'd love to at least put them out there and try and fail rather than not trying at all. The Ravens have a lot of mantras like "intimidating defense" and "resilient players," I'd love for the "kick field goals and have the defense hold them" mantra to turn into "red zone touchdowns and blow people out." I mean that game against Pittsburgh where Tucker hit 3 field goals of less than 25 yards and one of 30 yards...that game ended 26-6 but could have easily been 38-6. We also likely would not have needed an epic throw and catch from Flacco to Smith to win that browns game
