I apologize if everyone already knew this - I personally had no idea.

Ma'ake Kemoeatu retired to give his brother his kidney. Wow. I'm humbled by the man.

Mod note: Since retired a Raven, thought it could go here. Move if necessary. :)

Wasn't a big fan of Chris Kemoeatu who played dirty but that's a really nice story of love and selflessness between family

That's big of him, and it's great to hear about that kind of thing. Makes a nice change from the past two weeks.

He was really enjoying our playoff year.  He always had a big smile on his face on and off the field, just being glad he was part of 'the ride'.  I'm glad we had him while we could have.  He was one of the 'depth' players that did what they were suppose to do when called upon.

Wish the guy luck!

He's close to 40 and he hasn't been on a team in years. It's safe to say he was already retired. Let's not act like he just got drafted #1 overall and gave up his future & NFL career. Still a nice story, the football stuff shouldn't even have been brought up in the first place.

Was on the 2012 SB Ravens team. Let's not act like it was eons ago. Good grief.

Very admirable of him. But when we won the SB, he had just turned 33 and was already running on fumes.

He would've been retired by now anyway. Still grateful to him for providing much needed depth in 2012 when Cody and Ngata were limited by injuries.
