Broncos Fans Want Phil Simms Banned

39 posts in this topic

Simms likes Joe, which is still pretty rare around the league, but as an announcer...he seems constantly confused. Still better, than Fouts, though. His commenting just sounds whiney (maybe that's just me). I do actually find Dierdorfs commenting fairly insightful and think, that Mayock is alright, whenever he stops talking about how "special" everyone on the field is -_-. It gets old.

I like Mayock when he isn't talking about how much he loved guys coming out of college. I think he really knows his stuff and I can respect that.

Yeah, his mock draft fetish is really showing sometimes. :D

So Phil Simms can't seem to hide his dislike for the Broncos in his color commentary for CBS, and Broncos fans are getting fed up with it.  It must make ratings or something though since CBS likes to put him on for Broncos games.

All I can say is  :popcorn drama:

I find this extremely ironic since the group of Steeler fans I watched the Broncos vs. Seahawks game with all thought Phil Simms seemed like he was the Broncos home announcer.

So I didn't think it deserved its own thread but now the Broncos are blaming a coin flip. And Peyton is buying in!

""It puts a premium on the coin toss," Manning said. "I called tails at the beginning of the game, and went with it again in overtime. It was heads, and it proved to be a significant call. But that's the way it is. And you'd like to not leave it to that, leave it to get to that situation."

I read about that, couldn't quit laughing at the bellyaching.  It would have had more validity if we were still under the old overtime rules from a few years ago.
