Vikings' Adrian Peterson indicted in child injury case

How do you think this may effect the Ray Rice case if the NFLPA desides to appeal, since apparently child is held in "higher" regards in the NFL's new abuse rules. I know that the acceptable ways have change to discipline kids have change dramtically over recent generations. Also, will the media have as big as an influence on this since there are pictures vs. video with the NFL.
