According Aaron Wilson "NFL announces Josh Gordon and free agent LaVon Brazill eligible to return after 10 games. New drug policy only mentions them, not Will Hill" .That sucks

Just give it time...I'm sure Ozzie will call up Goodell if no news is found. It might still end up being six games before we see him in action, when coach does his bench talented players shtick.

Looks like Will Hill has been cleared to play immediately.

If "N/A" means No Action.

N/A means that it hadn't been announced yet.  There's still no official word on him, but it doesn't look like he'll have his suspension reduced.

I get that the NFL has a lot on its plate right now, but its absurd that they will reduce the suspensions for superstars like Gordon and Welker, but can't rule for everyone else. If they are gonna start something, at least finish it for the sake of the players still missing games

That is kinda stupid that it only applies to four guys. Lol. Not sure about that one. Would like to hear the rationale on that.

I will say, consequently, I am excited to see who tests positive for HGH. It'll be really interesting to see.

That list doesn't seem to be entirely correct. I know Steadman Bailey was reinstated as well, and it says N/A for him.

I am guessing if Hill's suspension was reduced, we'd know by now.

I just remember it was an issue of PED's vs substance abuse and I don't know if they've finalized everything yet, but it's really ridiculous who they chose to re-instate and who they didn't

What gives? According to the NFLPA posting Josh Gordan was put in the new HGH Policy Section.

https://www.nflplayers.com/Articles/Press-Releases/Joint-NFL-NFLPA-Statement-to-Changes-on-Drug-Programs/

"Discipline of players for certain violations in the 2014 league year will be adjusted by certain aspects of the new policies. Wes Welker of the Denver Broncos, Eric Herman of the New York Giants, Orlando Scandrick of the Dallas Cowboys and Stedman Bailey of the St. Louis Rams were eligible to return to their teams this week. Josh Gordon of the Cleveland Browns and free agent LaVon Brazill will be eligible to return after 10 games."

Where's the consistancy here? It should be an obligation on the NFLPA to post a list that identifies every player affected by the new standards. Aren't they representing all the players not teams? It just smells funny.

It's possible hill's levels were over the new limit, but given josh Gordon I mean come on

I unfortunately have to agree about the levels being possible too 'high' (no pun intended). He holds on to the story that his levels (unknown - private) were from 2nd-hand smoke, but that would have easily been clinically detected. Still, I believe the NFL needs to post a list of all the players who are affected by the new policy - not selected players.

With it looking like the NFL could come to an agreement on a new drug policy, what does this mean for Will Hill?  If the agreement passes, it seems that most guys currently serving suspensions will get their number reduced to half of what they originally received.  So, where does this leave Will Hill?  You'd assume that he'd have a reduction to 3 or 4 games, but is that a good thing?

My question here isn't whether his number will be reduced, as that looks incredibly likely.  The question here is what to do with him.  Is there a spot for him on this team right now?  It seems he'd be better off waiting until week 7 and hoping an injury happens at some point.

We already have 6 safeties on the roster.  Matt Elam is obviously going nowhere.  Darian Stewart is doing pretty well out there, although he's not your typical single high safety.  Anthony Levine, Brynden Trawick, and Jeromy Miles are all key ST contributors.  Terrence Brooks is a 3rd rounder on a learning curve and right now, is probably an emergency CB.

So where does Hill fit in?  Will he be a victim of depth if his suspension gets reduced?  There's no question that the guy is very talented, but he was used very little in the preseason.  Has he shown enough to knock a true contributor off the roster at this point?

Where does he fit in?  He's probably the best safety you have.  Was ranked in the top 2 or 3 free safeties by Pro Football Focus last year. Take a look:

Yep. When we're talking about a 24 year old FS who has that kind of potential, you get him in the lineup asap and see how it goes.

Plus Hill is awesome on special teams as well

Hmmmm a great question lets think deeply about this we have 00000 starting caliber fs thats why Elam is still getting exposed at fs lets look at The Facts hill was a top 3 rated fs last season where will he play in a crowded secondary with nothing but strong safties I Know Starting at Fs

Exactly!

Second that and now Raven bashing is the new trend! Bringing Hill back early will just add fuel to a fire that no one will let go! Can we just play some football, y'all??

Curious, but do you think the league could be reluctant to reduce his suspension now that he's a member of the Ravens? Just protecting from backlash? I know the NFLPA would likely step in if it became obvious.

Not trying to start any conspiracy theories!

I doubt that. The reality is that there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes - so among other things we don't know what he was done for this time around - and this is his third suspension if memory serves. Let's see this situation play itself out first - worst case he's only missing two weeks after this Carolina game.
