If, and it's big if, the other wild card teams all lose today, making our game against the Jag's meaningless, would Harb sit starters so they can rest for a playoff run. Missing our bye was a bad bit of luck. Or is momentum and a home victory more important?

he couldnt rest all of the starters b/c of the amount of players they are allowed to have. I think some positions may get a little rest though. i dont really see all three JETS NE AND MIA losing

I dont see it happening but if it does I think we should rest injured starters... such as McGahee and Mason and Washington (the list goes on).... But play those who are healthy so they dont get rusty.

One thing I have noticed is the Ravens dont ever play well coming off their bye week in the regular season so I say you keep them out there.

Make it so Mason doesnt have to go out there and catch with one arm again

no we cant. Ive been searching all over and it says we can only clinch in week 17 with a win. Now I too, am confused by this but if the pats lose this week, and win next week, and we lost next week. we will both be 10-6. The tie-breaker Im sure would then go to the Pats because the win vs. The Bills and our loss vs. The Jaguars would give the Patriots a better record vs. the AFC.

Not sure, because if the Jets and Patriots lose today then they can't finish better then 10-6 and if we end up losing in our last game then we finish 10-6 which we own the tie breaker.

Edit: Oh yeah, true because we need the better conference record, you're right

no but mason should sit I say they play the first half and then bring in troy smith and all them all it takes is the pats loss today because here is what happens

Ravens 10-5
Jets 10-5 ( if win )
Miami 10-5 (if win)
Patriots 9-6 (if lose)

if the patriots lose then that means they're out of it the reason we need them to lose is because the jets and dolphins play the last game of the year lets say the jets win they win the divison so now here is what you have

Ravens 10-6 ( if we lose unlikley but still)
Miami 10-6 we win tie breaker due to better confrence record
Patriots 10-6 we win tie breaker due to better confrence record

This is the scanerio that we are looking at

We haven't had any help from other teams all season long, so I'm not holding my breath.

Just win. That's all the players are thinking...

Nope, we're going to be on the road regardless. We're the 6th seed, there won't be a playoff game played at M&T this year.

I don't see that happening either. I do think only the Fins and Pats need to lose for us to clinch (Jets would get division in that event)... but both of those teams should win handily today.

Jets win a tied break though I'm sure..The Pats aren't losing killing the Cards.

Hope for Miami to win. Head to head comes before Conference record.

Jets are tied with us in conference record (and play NFC trash today). I think NE would come down to Strength of Victory as we haven't played enough common opponents. I don't understand that enough to make the call.

Snow pretty much killed the Cards possibilities of winning.

No and I honestly wouldnt want him to. We have a lot of momentum right now. Benching the starters for that game vs the Jags would be a momentum killer.
