Next up: Browns

332 posts in this topic

Although the Browns won't have Josh, they'll still be on fire when we get there. That being said, the long 8 days of prep should give us a edge. Every little edge at this level can go a long way. Ravens by 9. GO Ravens!!!

No doubt its gonna be rockin at the Dawghouse. The Browns passrush seems good led by you know who and they have one shut down CB. The quick underneath passing game is gonna have to be spot on and if it is we'll win this game. I believe the D can handle Hoyer&co.

Ravens 20

Browns 10

Two games in five days........the 10 day wait is already seeming long, but is a good time of rest and practice for the boys. I like that the brownies beat NO. Should keep the Ravens focused on a dangerous opponent.

Yeah, we haven't looked great against the Browns in recent memory, but with the new offense and Webb's return, I like our chances to take them down.

Paul Kruger looks HUGE. The guy looks like watts bigger brother. Not sure what they fed him down in Cleveland, but his having a terribly good start.

Watch out for him and Dansby duking it out vs Wagner and Monroe

I don't think Dansby would be going against Wagner. I'd imagine that would be Mingo. Regardless, they have pass rush so the OL must hold up. This DL is better than the Steelers and up there with the Bengals. I really expect this to be a litre scoring game with both hands held in the teens. I think whatever team breaks twenty wins this one.

Kruger goes against the RT just like he did with us.

After watching the entire Browns vs Saints game yesterday, I've come to the conclusion that if the Ravens are not playing like they played against the Steelers we are going to have a really long day! Don't count this as an automatic W like we're used to....

I like our chances. The Saints Ded is still soft. We're the most physical team Cleveland will have seen this year. I think we just need to protect the ball and execute drives. If we can score early and keep up our defensive pressure we will have them try to air it out more which will play into our hands. They have a solid oline for running but are a little susceptible to pressure on passing downs. I can't see us losing this game if we come to play like we did for Pittsburgh. I really can't wait for week 4 to see Smith Sr go up against his old team.

What does anything in that post have to do with the Ravens sleeping on the Browns? I think it's evident every year that no team should be slept on, but amazingly it continues to happen. Teams like the Bills and Jags getting victories over the Ravens when it seemingly didn't make sense at all.

Also with the way last season went and the fact that there is so much youth and change this year, the Ravens can't afford to sleep on anyone. So I agree.

Umm...you stated the following Ravensfan23....."but I think the Browns will come into this game 0-2 after the Saints game today." That statement right there has something to do with the Ravens sleeping on the Browns cause you automatically assumed that they would lose to the Saints but they didn't...did they? :D So, all I was saying was that I don't want our boys to overlook any team.

This is a game that can't be over looked. The Browns made a lot of moves to get better. It's still a long season but they'll be gunning for us. It's a statement game for them. As for the Ravens, glad we had the extra rest after all we've been through. A nice deep breath, a good step back and we should be good to go. No score prediction, but a Ravens victory for sure. We got something to prove too, and a lot of talking heads to shut up! (Even though they won't!)

Cundiff will shank another FG when the game's on the line. Ravens by 3.

Poetic justice, like that. He does owe us, big time! Nice shot!

Watch Terrance West. Coulda, shoulda been a Raven. Man on a mission. Dangerous, but our "D" is growing together. Still... JMO.

Amazing how things can change from one week to the next eh?

The Browns definitely showed up yesterday and personally it was nice to see them finally hold on and win a game in this type of situation.  Too many times over the past several seasons have they played a team tough and even had a late lead just to somehow blow it.  Yesterday was a refreshing change and good for them.

Hoyer is a mystery to me at this point - he can make some really great throws but then at times (yesterday was a perfect example) he is way off; especially on rolling out passes.  I think he has the team on his back though and they believe in him and that's something they need right now.  If West and Crowell keep up what they're doing then Ben Tate is never going to get back onto the field.  So far the WR core has looked good but I'm worried about their depth - or lack of it to be specific.

Hopefully a good game will be had with no injuries.  I'd like to (obviously) see Cleveland pull it out but we'll see - should be a tough game for them but if they can get things to go their way they can steal this one.

Ok generally when you use terms like "I think" or "if" you aren't automatically assuming anything. I was wrong in taking an educated guess that the Saints would beat the Browns. I didn't say there was no way the Browns could be the Saints, or the Ravens would in turn destroy the Browns. But at the end of the day, I agree, they can't be overlooked.

True!  Look at how the Ravens played on Sunday vs. the Bengals in that loss; and then how they played on Thursday night in their annihilation of the Steelers 26-6.  The Ravens offense and defense were on point and I loved every bit of it!  Now, this will be the Ravens first "road" test against the Browns and if they go into Cleveland with the same "Us against the World" and "Win it for Ray" mentality; then I can see them coming out of there with a decisive "W."

Ravens 21

Browns 13

I would much prefer they go in with a "Lose it for Brian!" mentality.  :D

BTW - nice city you live in.  That's where I lived (and will be going back to in October to visit family) until last year.

We are definitely going to have to game-prep and play like we did against the Steelers if we want to win.  Even I'm sweating a little after how well the Browns did last week.

Hi BrownsFan! Always good to see you!

Congrats on taking down the Saints!

Sorry this Home loss you're about to take is going to sting some!

will hill and webb in the secondary..

suddenly its a strength.

(if they both play to their potential)

I wouldn't bank on either playing at full strength on their first game back. Although the Browns or Panthers would be a better way to get their feet wet than, say, the Bengals.

I'm afraid Browns or Panthers won't be an option for Hill. Isn't he on 6 games suspension?

Yeah, but the talk is he may get that reduced if the new policy gets pushed through - a bit optimistic but I think that's what Sami84 was getting at.

Sorry, still not scared of them. We win 27-14

I'm not scared of them either but possibly for a different reason. Saints are a finesse team for the most part. Browns played AFCN football.

That actually is one of our strengths this year (not that it hasn't been before) so I still think we can take this game in decisive fashion. Sticking with my 30-9 bold prediction. (I miss the bold prediction thread).

Uh, I forgot about that.

Harbaugh was asked about it earlier today and whether it meant Hill might play Monday. He was predictably vague.

Harbaugh vague? No way! :P

it still amazes me that Harbaugh shows as a misspelled word here haha
