Next up: Browns

I like the way we match up with the Browns defensively. But no doubt in my mind that they try to run those end arounds and screens with Hawkins.

We should be able to shut down their power run game. Hopefully Joe and company show up offensively.

Agreed, forgot to mention those end-arounds. That said, the Browns have been using them already and we've faced enough of them to date that if we don't come out ready then we have ourselves to blame.

Forsett and Joe are both keys to showing up early imo. We've all been saying Joe would be better in a higher-percentage system, so here's a chance to test that theory on the road.

We needed that win, after our week we needed that. I did not think Forsett would be that huge of an addition when we signed him but he is playing better than I expected. Glad we have him.

Let's just hope we don't do to Cleveland what we did to Pittsburgh.. we injured their starting QB beginning the Big Ben era, let's hope we don't end up starting the Johnny Football era in Cleveland.

I hope the Ravens start it and break him in half

the problem with the ravens is that they always play down to the level of the competition, i hope they have stopped that and beat the crab out of the brownies.

My concern is that we haven't seen the line hold up in protection against a stout pass rush....yet.

After what our defense did to the Steelers the Browns are in for a long day. Especially since we have the extra days off to rest both mentally and physically.

We are also comming off a emotional high.  The players need to keep it up in practice.   Our young guys got longgg ways to go before they can claim their spot in the NFL as good players.   Goin 1-2 is not an option.  We got work to do!

No doubt we played well but still not the best we can ... Good experience for the boys to dominate the Steelers though for some confidence after such a draining week.

I almost think at Cleveland may be a tougher test than home vs Pittsburgh. I'm not saying Cleveland is awesome, but we are always worse on the road in the regular season. I also think the Steelers are not very good at all this year, so we aren't looking at a significant step down in competition. Interested to see if the Browns stay with New Orleans for a while this Sunday.

Absolutely - @CLE is often a tough trip. Even when the difference between the teams has been huge, they manage to close the gap. Whether we play down to the opponent or they step up with their home crowd rabid for a win over what could be argued as being their most hated team, these game rarely seem to end up being a cake-walk.

I like that we have extra rest/prep time. I don't like that we're coming off an emotionally trying week with an emotionally big win. We have to go into this with the same sense of urgency as we went into the game vs. PIT - because our season is still on the line to some degree. We can't be 1-2 in the division when 2 of those game were at home and the other is against CLE.

I will be absolutely alarmed if Webb is not available for this matchup. If he's unable to go, then it will feel like there really may be no end to it. I just fear a scenario similar to KO last year, where we tried to see if he could go and eventually had to shut his season down.

Also, hoping that Jackson's concussion was a mild one and that he'll have plenty of time to have that clear up.

After all we have been through if "Johnny Football" even steps foot on the field knock him out! That kid is more than annoying, just, well, just he's who? All that aside let's build on the momentum we got, not just Pittsburgh, but putting the wrongs of one man placed unfairly on a whole team, no less a whole city and fan base aside and showing everyone who we are! The Baltimore Ravens!! No score call, just big time!!

I wonder how Johnny would take that Upshaw hit that he laid on Big Ben. Can't wait to welcome him to AFC North football.

He would probably cry for a flag and the NFL would probably give it to them

I love this team.  It's a distinct possibility that the Ravens and the Orioles could win the SB and World Series this year.  I don't think that's happened in Bmore history, not even with the colts.

Ravens are far from the list of favorites but it's fun having both teams being highly competitive

The Ravens could have a huge opportunity early in this game to take the Browns and their fans out of it. You can never really say what will happen each Sunday, but I think the Browns will come into this game 0-2 after the Saints game today. If that indeed is the case, then the Browns and their fans could be in a desperate state. If the Ravens can start fast on both offense and defense with maybe like a 17-3 half time lead or something, we could be seeing the fans calling for Johnny really quickly. That is demoralizing to a team.

Even though most people didn't expect much from the Browns, it's still tough on a locker room to face a 0-3 start to a season. That could be a huge opportunity for the Ravens to get rid of the Browns early or if they allow the Browns to hang around, give them plenty of confidence. Should be a good game.

The key to this game is to not underestimate this team...  I think the Steelers did just that...  and these guys came back in the second half...  it was a good thing the Steelers ran the clock out and then kicked the FG....  The Browns were ON.

I think the offense is steadily improving and that's a scary thing for other teams. I know most people thing what we saw against the Steelers is what the offense is supposed to look like, but I honestly think the idea is for the offense to look much more like the Bengals game then what we saw Thursday. Of course you don't wanna have 60+ pass attempts, but I strongly feel if not for the amount of drops and miscommunication in the pass game, the Ravens wouldn't have needed to pass as much. Just going back to watch that game, there were 8 different plays that resulted in drops or just misreads by WRs that should have accounted for at least 175 yards and 1 or 2 TDs in the first half alone. Of course playing the if game is pointless, but I just think the offense is really looking to find itself right now.

In the Bengals game, there were much more spread formations that had WRs running in space a lot. The run game was effective as well, the offense just didn't take advantage of 3rd down opportunities. I think this offense is capable of changing from week to week. We can see games where this offense will put up the 400+ yards but then the next week you see the offense more run oriented with the pass game geared towards the TEs and RBs which leads to less yards per catch and RAC yards. Then we haven't really seen the big plays off of play action yet, so this offense has so much potential for growth.

The Browns have a defense more comparable to the Bengals then the Steelers imo. I expect to see Kubes go the route of spreading them out more. The 3-4 WR sets we saw against the Bengals, the multiple formation, more so then the ball control approach against the Steelers. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Juice finally getting involved in the offense

The bottom line is...as long as Kubiak adapts to each different defense we play (which I'm more than sure he's capable of doing), we're in good hands.

I'm not going to say I'm worried, but the Browns actually look decent against the Saints. They could really challenge us when we go to their house. Austin has looked pretty decent as well. Hawkins, too. They definitely have enough going to be dangerous. Good thing we have a week to game plan for them.

Huge win for the Browns. I love this division. I know it's odd saying that because it makes it tougher for the Ravens, but the North is maybe the best division in the NFL.

In a way I'm happy with the Browns win. It won't hurt us bigger picture as I still don't think they have a realistic shot at the playoffs, but it means we've basically been put on notice for next week so we have to take them deathly seriously.

Anyone still think Cleveland will be a walk in the park? We lost there last year; gonna need all our units (offense, defense, ST) operating at a high level to win.

Go Ravens
