I hope Monroe can improve. He's been a bit unimpressive so far. Joe had two good games in row, minus that screwup at the end of the first half in the season opener -_- (hopefully that trend continues), I also hope our WR don't get a case of the dropsies anymore (that first game was ugly). I'm really looking forward to see that Flacco Smith Sr. connection develop further.

Our defense has been doing well so far. Not sure how much of that last game was on that horrible Steelers OL, though. If Webby makes a return, we should atleast be better in the secondary. Good luck throwing against that Hoyer. :D

I hope you mean the good games and not the screwup. :P

That play was soooooo bad. THROW IT AWAY, JOE!!!

Yeah, it was painful to watch. My heart sank when he held onto it after the first two seconds. And when he began scrambling.....

I had my face buried in my hands. It really felt like that pick 6 against Denver in 2012 week 15 all over again. Just watching Flacco sit on the ground with his head hanging down as he realized, what he has done. One of the most embarrassing moments in his carreer, not the worst in Ravens QB history unfortunetly. It will be pretty hard to beat out the guys, who came before him in this regard.

Two things im scared of:

1. T West having a big game.

2. Paul Kruger vs Wagner.

Hopefully the pass rush improves but it's going to be hard for Suggs and our DT's going against Thomas, Bitonio and Mack....Doom's gonna need to have a big game, and I think he will.

Haden & Gilbert have been struggling this season so I think this is the week we see Torrey shine. Especially if Haden matches up with triple S....I'm expecting Pitta & Daniels to tear their D up. Forsett & Pierce have success early, which in turn sets up play action bomb to Torrey and 1st downs to Pitta.... Also, I'd like to see LT & Juice see some action. Especially juice in the passing game.

I believe the team once again responds in the midst of controversy. I'm not taking the Browns lightly, that would be foolish. I'm just feeling a Ravens win in convincing fashion. 27-13. Defense allows their first rushing TD of the year.

Bold predictions:

Pitta sets career high in catches & rec yards. (11,125+1TD)

Arthur Brown suits up and records a pick.

Jimmy gets a pick 6. (First of his career)

Please don't ever, ever :landry: (as long as you are purple and black) leave-out Smith Sr., again! (I said please... :landry:  ).

Wow. This topic is 300+ comments less than the Steelers. I hope RavensNation is not sleeping on this one.

Maryland just blew-out the Orangemen (their helmets are only slightly more attractive than the Browns), the O's just did it BIG time (They are proud of being Orange and Black and Purple)...next up? I'm feeling good about this one.

GO Ravens!!!

Lorenzo Taliferro and Melvin Gordon III. Now THAT would be a nice combo.

I can dream. That would be splendid. I love Gordon but I'm not sure about a RB in the second round anymore with all our other needs. Depends on how we address them.

Monroe has done well as a pass protector but not as effective run blocking. He's still good in pass pro though.

You Raven fans think your defense is back now? I wish my Packers would have the defense you guys have. Man we made Geno Smith look like Joe Namath out there last week. Anyway Brian Hoyer is a good qb and might be tough to stop and that rookie running back Terrance West isn't that bad for them either. I think it will be a great game and a  close one. If it's in Baltimore the Ravens will win and if it is in Cleveland it could go either way.

I think it's still in transition (truth be told you could argue the Superb Owl defence was a generation on the verge of collapse for lack of a better word), and still trending upwards. We've found our first few core guys so it's all about letting them grow together and fleshing out the rest.

For what it's worth a lot of us wish we could pump out receivers like you guys do.

Lol, I saw that, too. Must be a really damn impressive owl--a superb owl, no less. Truly superb.

We lost Greg Jennings, James Jones, Driver and Finley. We only have Nelson and Cobb left. You guys have a better duo then us right now in Torrey Smith and Steve Smith Sr. Beat Carolina for us next week. That will be a great game between two great defenses.

Can you imagine the possibilities?

Call your football team The Owls.

The mascot would be The Superb Owl.

The promotion department would have a field day.

Okay well maybe not......

Monroe is a horrible run blocker.

I thought he did pretty well for the most part against the Steelers. Bad against the Bengals, but good against the Steelers

Great article written by former NFL quarterback Sage Rosenfels about Kubiak and Kyle Shanahan.  footballbyfootball.com   He describes Kubiak's style of offense and how Joe Flacco will have success.  Pretty good read for Ravens fans.

Browns are gonna be bringing the blitzes today. Gonna hope our new RBs miss out on some blitz blocks. Flacco has got to get the ball out fast and confident today.

I still wont be surprised if we blow them out.

Really?  How'd that work out for the Ravens on the road today?  Lol!

I actually expected our defense to make the trip as well. But Whatever I'll take it.

It's early in the season, we've got a younger, less experienced defense, and a new scheme on offense with some very experienced players. So, do we have enough on tape on the Browns to really know what they have? Do they have enough on us?

By the end of the season we'll have a pretty good idea of what we have in this team, and what our opponents have as well.

But right now, it's something of a coin flip. For everyone.

Welcome to parity, where most teams are now 1-1. Including us and them.

Called it. Came down to the final play.

Of course we'll take the win but my point was...forget all of this "blow out" talk man!  Let's just be happy IF these Ravens can get a "W". :D

But...I really like the blow outs. At least sometimes. I'll try to be content with taking it to the Steelers this season though!

I like blow outs as well but our Ravens don't deliver enough of them on a consistent basis for us to be "calling for them" versus any opponent imo.
