Next up: Browns

Packer fan here. I have a soft spot for both the Browns and Ravens and the Bengals too. Only team I dislike in that division is the Steelers. Best wishes to you guys this weekend. All three teams I like to see do well as long as it doesn't affect my packers. Nothing but love for all you guys. Anyway Baltimore looks to be a better team then last year. Your defense looks to be back to the 2010-2012 type defense Baltimore has always had. Loved the way you manhandled the Steelers.

Disagree that it's a trap but definitely a test. We're going to find out a lot about who our offensive and defensive lines really are in this game.

Sorry, what I meant was this game could have the makings of a trap game, however, I don't think it is one, because we know the Browns pretty well, and the Saints win is an eye opener.

I don't think divisional games can ever really be considered trap games.

I agree with another poster that Tennessee is a trap game. Two straight road divisional games before that, home game against a team that appears to be inferior, and one week before a much-needed bye week.

I understand, I didn't really mean to imply this was a trap game, but yea you should never overlook a division game. That said. Tennessee better not be a trap game, because that is exactly what happened the last time we played Tennessee and they just flat out owned us.

Biggest thing we need to worry about is the misdirection and screens to WR or TE those have seemed to give us some trouble this year. That's what happened last year vs Cleveland. Cameron killed us. Also I wanted some opinions does anyone lose think Marlon should be getting more run than Jacoby. Jacoby has had a few drops and I think Marlon is an all around better option outside of the deep ball

If they don't have Cameron then We should win easy. Their offense has been a bunch of flukes so far and were gonna expose it.

The Browns don't scare me one bit. New Orleans is never as good outside of that Dome, and their defense is garbage compared to what the Ravens will be presenting them with, even Pittsburgh's defense is soft.

They have also been giving up plenty on the ground so far, which plays right into our favor...

Ravens win 24-9

Just because they don't scare you doesn't mean we can't lose to them(see: Ravens vs. Bills 2013, Ravens vs. Jaguars 2012). This situationis totally different because no one is discounting the Browns at this point, but our boys have to do what they're supposed to do at a high level or we will lose this game. I am confident we willl though. Looking forward to high quality ravens football on Sunday. I think we set the tone for who we are in this game.

We stop the run we'll stop the Browns. The only reason they've been able to run against the steelers and the saints is because they have subpar defenses. We on the other hand have one of the best run defenses in the league. If we can neutralize West it will FORCE cleveland to pass. Keep in mind Webb IS playing on Sunday, so we'll have TWO pro-bowl level a Corners against Hoyer and a WR-Core who's best player is a mediocre Miles Austin. The only way they'll be able to move the ball is by doing screens(which we CANT defend at all). The major problem is gonna be our offense. The Browns look like they'll give Kubiak headaches. Think it's gonna be a LOT of field goals.

And good looking out against the Jets. In case we don't win the division, we need all other AFC teams to lose!

Two things im scared of:

1. T West having a big game.

2. Paul Kruger vs Wagner.

Hopefully the pass rush improves but it's going to be hard for Suggs and our DT's going against Thomas, Bitonio and Mack....Doom's gonna need to have a big game, and I think he will.

Haden & Gilbert have been struggling this season so I think this is the week we see Torrey shine. Especially if Haden matches up with triple S....I'm expecting Pitta & Daniels to tear their D up. Forsett & Pierce have success early, which in turn sets up play action bomb to Torrey and 1st downs to Pitta.... Also, I'd like to see LT & Juice see some action. Especially juice in the passing game.

I believe the team once again responds in the midst of controversy. I'm not taking the Browns lightly, that would be foolish. I'm just feeling a Ravens win in convincing fashion. 27-13. Defense allows their first rushing TD of the year.

Bold predictions:

Pitta sets career high in catches & rec yards. (11,125+1TD)

Arthur Brown suits up and records a pick.

Jimmy gets a pick 6. (First of his career)

I'm not scared of Kruger vs Wagner. Kruger is only a threat to unathletic tackles with bad footwork. Once he's blocked, he's blocked. His bull rush is unimpressive and he doesn't have counter moves. He has a speed rush and hustle. Luckily for us, Wagner has great balance and footwork, so he should handle Kruger well.

We shall see. I think he'll playing confidently and be extra motivated for this game. I haven't watched him much this year but I can't imagine his bull rush just falling off.

I'm just hoping that the Ravens offense will show up and ready to play from their very 1st possession and throughout the game without disappearing an entire half!  Go Ravens!

No deonte???? No chance

I'm bummed he's been waived too but seriously...

Unfortunately this just confirms my suspicions that, yes, Bernard Pierce is made of glass.

Expect Deonte to be back on the team by next week. We only re-signed Tousaint because Pierce won't be playing. If we had any sense however, we'd make Taliferro and Forsett share even carries because Taliferro excels at pass blocking and against the Browns D that could come in handy.

Doubt Thompson clears waivers

Happy as hell to see that Fitz guy back on the team. Real diamond in the rough if you ask me.

I agree with you. I'd like to see what he can do versus a First Team defense.

Deonte had his chances, shined in preseason before, and yet never lived up to that promise. He was inactive for our first 2 games anyway so we really didn't lose something here. I'm sure if he clears waivers they'll bring him back anyway.

If you ask me, Fitz and Lorenzo are the Ravens' next one-two punch. Pierce is on his way out in my opinion, and Forsett is a band-aid. These two are perfect compliments for each other. In fact, they kinda remind me of what we had with Rice and McGahee back in the day. Almost the exact same type of backs.
