He showed what I expected tonight.  The whole leg fatigue thing was concerning but he's where I thought he'd be when we first signed him.  I always viewed him as a guy that wasn't going to take over a game, but he's smart and savvy enough to find the open spaces.  That's what he did tonight and that's all I wanted out of him.

His just absolutely a MONSTER. He might be the comeback player of the year. His route and ability to find an opening to receive the ball is stunning. Guys should learn from Owens. Especially 'on & off' torrey who is still struggling with inconsistencies in his career.

Im just glad we grabbed Owens. He looks like his having an absolute ball when he is on the field.

That false start cost us a TD by Flacco and we had to settle for 3 points.  So obviously terrible pickup. /s

He's so much better than Clark+Dickson and he only takes up 1 roster spot!

Good pick up?

Nope totally not a good pickup in any way. I expected him to score 5 TDs tonight and he only got 2. What a disappointment ;)

He sure looked mad on those couple of catches where the Steelers DBs were trying to smash him into the turf.  Good on him for being as intense as Smith Sr. there.

Was not sure of Daniels value to the team due to his age and leg issues, however, he played strong against the Steelers. Hopefully his legs won't break down when the weather turns cold.

Looks a whole lot better than this:

LOL Dallas playing volleyball

Daniels was awesome last night, the tough catches he was making in traffic were more impressive than the TDs which were missed assignments (one against Polamalu). However, I was happier with the TDs :)

Some one last night said

" Owen Daniels is a step up from Ed Dickinson "

Yeah, just a little bit.

LOL. I liked your rhetorical question. Yeh, I think he's a good pickup but he looked more like a Mack truck against the Peelers. He took a couple of nasty hits but kept on tickin. I just hope we can keep the energizer bunny healthy. :plus-un2:

In that Broncos game, Dallas turned his head to run before he had the ball secured. In that Bills game, the defender was just quicker than Dallas to come back for the ball, undercutting him and tipping the ball into the air. Dickson just has terrible hands. And what the freak Torrey was doing backpedaling into the end zone instead of stepping forward to go up and fight for the ball? He is just not a natural at tracking the ball, and I question his field awareness too. In his 4th year, but still needs a lot of coaching up.

Looking back on that season though...can we just forget 2013 now?

I realize this is a bit of an old post, but I just now saw this... I am in the vast minority here, but I believe Smith is a great example of Flacco making his receivers look better than what they really are. Smith's speed plus Flacco's cannon arm is a great combo, but could another QB who doesn't have a top 3 arm make Smith look relevant? Also, Flacco made Dickson look better too... what has he been doing for his new team? Absolutely nothing, and while he didn't do hardly anything for us except drop passes, he at least looked like he was a decent player versus how he looks right now.

I see Daniels and Juszczyk as prime targets in the Indy Game.  The Indy team (can't say Colts) have to account for what Steve can do and expect plays for Jones and T Smith.  Then theres the mysterious Marlon Brown (a name that sounds so hollywood).  How about catches for Forsett?  Will Gilmore or Supernaw do something?.  Look we have the weapons and the opportunity to juke those dudes out of their shoes.  We have to prepare assault with deception in mind.   Don't make score predictions   You will fall into the media trap. They are booble head jelly face joes that tick me off.   Expect a close game but expect a Ravens game plan we had not seen.
