Talk about the Steelers game

What did he say? I missed it.

I don't remember the comment verbatim, but his slant was how those covering the situation need to be more sensitive to one true victim in the story and that is Janay. He said something about it being appalling that they had the video posted on their site, showing it in slow motion detail.

I understand that the league is trying to eliminate or at least significantly lessen head injuries and all, but my God, are you allowed to hit anymore? And it started with the hit / sack on Roethlisberger that was text book based on how we were taught to tackle in high school and should have ended the drive.

Upshaw literally got a penalty for hitting Roethlesberger too hard, I was and still am amazed at that call. Text book hit, no helmet to helmet contact.

Just turn off the tv.

That's what I say all the time lol. My wife and son have it on for the baseball highlights. I just heard that comment in passing

Just so we're all clear here: the Steelers beat themselves.  Another victory against themselves is definitely in store for next week which technically means they'll be on a 3 game tear.

Okay... Let me word it this way

According to the rules now, that hit by upshaw is an automatic flag.

Do I agree with it... No but that's what it is

What's up w/Mosley??

Lovin' Ngata's last play of the game!!

Forsett nothing but Awesome things can be said.

Now if we can get those TD's we'll be in good shape

If we play like this every game play off spot is looking pretty good.

what do you mean whats up with Mosley

Best comment ever!

About Suggs wearing the gladiator mask"

Then he got a penalty. Then they penalized the penalty for excessive penalties. Then they called pass interference and roughing the passer and illegal hit. Then the game was over.

Assuming sarcasm here, that argument in the media is absurd to me. It reminds me of the win against NE in the 2012 playoffs. Sure they made mistakes. Why did they make mistakes? Because we broke them. As Mike Tyson used to say (paraphrase), "Everybody's got a gameplan until I punch them in the mouth." That's what happened in this game. The Upshaw and Stewart hits set the tone. Pittsburgh just did not belong on that field last night.

Watching Flacco against the Steelers has been a joy lately. He always seems to bring his A-game to this rivalry. It's been a couple of years going now where I don't get nervous about Steelers games, I just look forward to a great game of football where the Ravens always put forth their best effort.

Flacco against Pittsburgh, 2008-2010:

2-6 record

133/249, 1550 yards, 7 td, 8 int

53.41% completion percentage, 6.22 yards per attempt, 68.5 qb rating

Flacco against Pittsburgh since 2011:

5-2 record

150/240, 1508 yards, 9 td, 1 int

62.50% completion percentage, 6.28 yards per attempt, 91.1 qb rating

Oh yeah!

Not trying to take away but our offense has gotten better, Flacco included, and the Steelers defense is a shell of it's former self. If people think we've fallen off defensively, look no further than the black and gold to see what a real decline is.

Elam looks real comfortable out there so far.

Well it looks like Upshaw is getting a fine next week. This weeks roundup of fines has 6 players listed for roughing the passer. Each were fined $16,537.

what?

LMAO!  Where did you find that?  It was the second post in a thread that I guess got merged here.  The topic was titled "Players Play" and started with a hilarious adult beverage influenced proclamation that must have been deleted cause I can't find it.  Can't remember the whole thing but it ended with "players play to play" and that was my reply. Probably doesn't make a lot of sense taken out of context, but that first post was fall down on the floor funny!

Don't know where I should put this but since we don't play for awhile, I don't think there's any harm...

Panther forum, Steve Smith topic: http://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/104410-smitty-may-be-even-more-pissed-than-we-thought-panthers-related/

Lol at all the salty fans. Some of them are still showing him respect but the others are acting classless. I liked reading through some comments though about how they miss him and are scared of week 4.

Also, they talked about our latest game against the steelers, so it's not completely off topic. :)

Rick Wagner is going to be the best right tackle the Ravens have ever had. Those are my thoughts on his performance so far.

His by far the worst lineman in the trenches, but for a 5th rounder 'rookie' starter, his doing a adequate job.

He just needs experience. I'm satisfied with what he has done, but its still not good enough to secure the right side.

Need to give Talliaferro some carries. power back to go with slasher, Pierce and speed back Forsett. Very tough on a defense.

I want to see some LT too. I think he'll come in to play if Pierce gets ONE more mistake.

Remember a few weeks ago some people thought Daniels was going to retire? I guess he gets the "Ed Reed I don't practice treatment" from Kubes, oh well as long as he shows up Sunday I have no issues and boy did he.

OMG! I forgot they have Dickson!

I was looking at what they were doing offensively with their TEs and wondering why we weren't doing that in the first game.  Maybe this week.

On an off note: Dickson should be motivated when we go to B-more.

Yes, you assume correctly. Clearly, given the neg I got someone's sarcasm meter ain't workin'. We took it to them.
