Talk about the Steelers game

This win is the best thing for the team and us fans. It's a big "screw you" to all the people who are doubting us and hating on us for the Ray Rice situation. Only thing I'd say we need to work on is the red zone offense.

One thing I loved was the consistent pressure off of a 4 man rush.  Designed blitzes weren't necessary tonight.  Our guys got in there and helped out tremendously.  I love what they're doing with McPhee.  He's being used all over the place.

Wagner is a monster in the running game.  Osemele looks fantastic right now.  Zuttah is also a godsend.

Offensive line has come together nicely.  KO is the real deal in the run game.  It also shows how much a competent center can improve the entire line as well.

Even with the sorry line and running game last year, if we would have had Dennis Daniels we're in the playoffs.  and Kubes, of course!

What impressed me most is how the defense completely smothered any furious fourth quarter rally that Ben may have had up his sleeve.  He's killed us in this house in fourth quarters before, but tonight, we killed him.

Four thoughts:

Screens, redzone runs, tackles, and we need a true #1 WR to replace Steve Smith Sr. That'd what I got from this game. We are getting killed by screens. We really need to use Arthur Brown in that role because he can, well, you know, defend the screen better than most on the team. We need to improve our red zone offense, specifically at running the ball. Too often we're getting stuffed at the goal. Perhaps actually use our biggest RB, you know, Taliaferro? Yeah. We need to tackle better. Too many loose tackles, especially with Daryl Smith, CJ Mosley, and Matt Elam. Mosley is a rookie and Elam is a smaller sophomore safety, but I expect a lot more from Daryl being a veteran. Elam needs to step up his tackling, since he's best as an in-the-box safety but has inconsistent issues with tackling, which is somewhat of an oxymoron.

We also need a true #1 WR to replace Steve Smith, because Torrey doesn't look like he will ever be more than a complementary #2 who's good, but never elevates his game to great. Unfortunately, since I had high hopes for him.

Maybe Im drunk....maybe I'm brilliant. BUT maybe I'm simplistic.

Players play to play.

what's what is what's what.  truth.

I was pretty emotional and impressed. This was the 2014 Ravens I was expecting, if not even better (defensively at least). Obviously a crucial win tonight to improve to 1-1 and get a division win over our biggest rivals. Just a wonderful night and great solace to the difficult week. Let's keep the streak going and beat Cleveland on the road for Week 3.

The fact that Smith sr is better at 35 years then Torrey tells you he will always be a no 2 reciever.

Hopefully that shut the media up, probably not but whatever.

Everyone picked the steelers before the game and now that we won, media is like "Pittsburghs just not that good. not much of a test for Baltimore". just cant win with these people.

CJ Mosley is going to be an animal in this league. Having a very good rookie year so far.

Looking like we made the better pic at ILB so far. He's played well.

Other teams now have learned that Torrey is a threat. While they shut him down other options open up. Owen Daniels is going to play a big part in our offense going forward. In time, when teams see us use our TE's more and Joe does the exceptional job of checking down, as I feel he did tonight, Torrey will get his shots. The rest of the NFL sees us as a one trick pony. Good! After tonight I think our coaching staff saw it. For now our running game may be a little and I mean a little down (like we ran over anybody last year!) but with the revamped "O" line and a chip on our shoulders this could really play out well. It's up to our coaches to see how other teams regard us and make the adjustments. They will!!

He ain't getting open .

For a guy in a contract year who is supposed to be our #1, this is very disappointing. a 35 yr old Steve Smith should not be getting open more often than a young Torrey with plenty of speed. Can't believe the guy cant get open at this point. if he isnt improved by now, he never will be. This is no longer a "cam cameron misusing him problem". this is simply a torrey problem.

Rare Steelers blowout.

Need to be better in the redzone.

Owen Daniels screwed me in fantasy.

Impressive for the Smith-Brown-Levine combo to hold a potent Steelers O to six.

In the battle of the Smith contracts Jimmy is the clear priority, he's blossoming into a legit top-tier corner. Torrey has disappeared.

Kudos to Flacco, the coaching staff, and everyone really for being prepared for this game.
