I am guessing it is because it was the crown of the helmet but I still don't care for that call or the ones called on the Steelers(although I will gladly take them )

I believe that's how it reads. It's also a rule for offensive players but I don't recall ever seeing that called.

Yeah, the one the RBs were worried about. That has to be outside of the tackle box, probably why we haven't seen it called much.

Can't lead with the crown of the helmet on qbs, even thought that hit from Courtney was BEAUTIFUL!  Ngata was flagged for that in 10 or 11 for a hit like that on Sanchez.
