The NFLPA would throw a fit. Or maybe not, considering how bad this is for PR.

 

All I know is that I don't know how anyone can defend this. And people who say "let's just stop talking about it" go ahead. That won't stop the world from talking about it though.

 

We have talked about this issue constantly and constantly . We all can agree what Ray Rice did was wrong and theres no excuse for his actions but at this point in time of the season I'm ready to move on .  It's so amazing to me how this world can feed  so deeply into negativity and we talk about negative stuff for days and days but positive doesn't even get nearly the same attention.

 

It really can be annoying at times. When Ray Rice made his speech saying to everybody that he was sorry I gurantee that didn't get nearly as much of a  attention as this video and other negative post by our fans.  I barely see  Ravens fans comment much on what our other players do  for our community in positive way and none of that nearly gets the attention like a fire Dean Pees or any other negative comment.

Maybe it's best for the Ravens organization to give Rice the year off.

As a Baltimore native, but no longer living in the area, I was always proud to be a Ravens fan, until now. The team needs to take its own punitive action against Ray Rice for striking his then fiance so hard that she is knocked unconscious, and then, dragging her limp body without concern into a hallway. The way he slaps her legs together...it's disgusting. And then he stands by idly as she warily comes awake. 

 

That is unacceptable, especially for someone supposedly held out as a role model.

it's a disappointing video....this is not what I had in mind when I was defending Rice. 

 

 

I'm not a misogynist that absolves a woman from physical crime...but it was nothing there on her part. A lot of people took an absolute stance which is wrong imo. Gender doesn't matter as it comes to facts and it appears Rice was the bully. 

 

IF THIS VIDEO is indeed confirmed...the fact is Ray Rice was wrong because he was clearly the aggressor and instigated a fight. I just didn't agree with the approach that his wife had a pass regardless of her behavior.

Only reason you or anyone else was on the "right side" is because you all said women has impunity and it had nothing to do with the fact at the time. The facts at the time was a viscous attack by Janay and Rice responded.

My guess is that the Ravens and NFL are working on some sort of salary cap exemption in order to let Rice go without crippling the franchise.

This video changes nothing. The fact is, he KNOCKED HER OUT. What did you guys expect the video to be? A light tap? I don't condone his actions at all. I didn't before and I don't now that the footage is out. Shame on the people that changed their opinion of him because the video footage is out. Violence against women is wrong in any facet.

It happened. Nothing can change it. And unless management chooses to release Rice, which they probably should do, what more can be said?

At a minimum, they need to impose a 4-game "conduct detrimental to the team" suspension... I refuse to believe that Harbaugh and Bisciotti saw that video before today.

...And in this day in age, the media reports opinions rather than facts, not verifying a report before putting it out for the world to see.  Unless you have the full story, it's all speculation.

I don't understand how releasing Rice helps anything. Taking away his job just punishes Janay and Rayven even more. Very few of us would lose our jobs for domestic abuse. Sitting him is an option since nearly everyone would have a hard time cheering him, but taking his paycheck and leaving him with massive amounts of time on his hands is not going to help anybody.

I have spoke on this many times but it's quite foolish for any one to think alcohol does not influence violence. Google is powerful search engine  and for those that think i'm making a excuse for Ray Rice would be  wrong . Technology is too advance for people to be close minded. if you don't believe me that alcohol doesn't influence violence then look it up please.

Why did TMZ interlace the part of the video that shows the altercation, but leave the rest of the video progressive? The interlacing creates that blurred after image effect when there's any sort of motion and removes the smoothness of the video like it was shot on a cheap web cam. The blurriness makes it difficult to see detail, like if he slapped or punched her, or if she spit in his face when she turned to face him. Also, the stop/start motion allows the possibility that frames were lost (or purposely removed). Frames that might have shown her elbowing him in the face or chest, or throwing a punch herself after the first slap from Rice.

What is TMZ up to? I just don't trust them, at all.
