Yeah that was bad but my forgiveness of his actions still doesn't change and life goes on. I don't know what was being said and probably more to this video than we know but it is what it is.

Yup, confirmed scumbag. What more can you say? He's lucky the girl didn't die from hitting her head on the rail. I would certainly be cutting him and fighting for a contract termination. I have a hard time seeing Harbs being ok with this... Rice can get a second chance somewhere else.

My opinion doesn't really change: scrub move, there's still a lot he should have done to restrain himself, the league should have hit him with 4-6 weeks at least and his reputation is deservedly shattered after all of this. That said, I also think he's genuinely remorseful and they all want to move on (her included) so I can do that for now.

 

And on another note, why did TMZ choose now to release that video? Not trying to stick holes in its motives or credibility or anything, just interested.

Yeah I believe there is more footage out their if it wasn't then both him and wife wouldn't have been arrested and charge with assault . I don't think she deserve what she got and it's never reasonable for any one in  a relationship to put hands on each other. 

 

My forgivness of Ray Rice stays unchanged  and hopefully him and wife situation gets better as they continue to get help . I'm very disappointed in Rice and I don't support violence at all.

From the Ravens' perspective, cutting him would still be a lot more effort than it's worth. All the cap stuff they'd lose for what the cynic in me pegs as an ultimately minor PR gain over the next year or two.

 

I wouldn't mind the league making it easier to cut players on grounds like that. It's kinda ridiculous the hoops the Patriots had to jump through just to get part of their cap figure back after the whole Hernandez thing. But I can see the kind of power imbalance it would give teams (what's to stop a team from holding, say, Taliaferro's incident over him if they want to make cutting him easier?). Ah well, it's a nice idea in principle I guess.

No, I think it would be a much better PR move... We were just getting out of the PR doghouse from the past transgressions, the team was getting cleaned up.. NOW, this horrible offseason. I don't think doing the right thing is "too much effort". I'd say he's going to have a substantial problem for a good while fr this, and rightfully so.

He took a plea admitting guilt, but his record will be expunged if he doesn't knock out anymore women in the mean time. It isn't as if he fought the case and was found innocent.

 

I don't care to compare him to Ben, because Ben has nothing to do with anything. Rice makes me sick. I wish him the best as a person and as a Raven. But I have lost all respect I have had for him. I don't know if this is something I can overlook. Maybe in time.

Actually guys I don't see how you get anything the skipping in the video  shows some Amature tampering  there are missing frames , not defending rice but this is about as conclusive that both parties are at fault ,  do not think might makes right or that damage vs non damage , they assaulted eachother  re watch it

why because i said false.....they were false that has been established. first girl had a history of making up lies to get attention(look it up its well documented) and the police found that the second girls story didnt make sense with all the other facts of the case, its why no charges were filed because they told the DA she was lying. he got suspended for having sex in a bathroom and putting himself in a bad situation.

Yes, I agree that they assaulted each other. Janay had no right to do what she did.

 

But nobody gives a crap about that. One was clearly much more in the wrong than the other. I've been smacked much harder than that by a woman, but you don't see Thugnismo on TMZ.
