Arthur Brown Trade Rumors

458 posts in this topic

If we trade Brown I want a 2015 first and a CB we can actually use this year (not some practice squad scrub) - ideally with another year left on their deal too.

Anything less and the GM asking can go [use your imagination] themselves. Too high a price? Tragic story, it's a tough market and we don't need to sell.

Nah I'm pretty sure that's someone else.

Yeah we are talking about Buldin, completely different players. BTW, no clue how so many people have misspelled his name on here, it isn't that hard

LOL Yea and I want a 2016 on top of all that! That is not happening. I don't know why we are shopping Brown right now unless the Ravens really just don't like him, or they just want to see what value they can get for him, but why on earth would a team give up a first rounder and a servicable CB for a linebacker that is not even starting on our team?

If Brown does get traded I think it will be to a team that will have an early second round pick and that I think goes for a Pass Rusher or Running back

Not the point. We really don't need to shop Brown, so I'd be disappointed if it didn't take something decent for a team to pry him away.

I would be too, but hoping for anything close to that is a pie in the sky dream. I don't know why we are shopping him other than we have good depth there and maybe are hoping to trade him for another position player, because I think a team would be bonkers to give anything more than a 3rd rounder for him. Hell even that might be asking too much. He hasn't played.

I think it's less "shopping him" than "listening to offers". As the great man himself loves to say, "we will explore all avenues of possibility".

I'd love to get a CB of relative age/skill/upside in exchange for Arthur, but I don't see the point in trading him for a pick. Arthur still has potential and we may still need him.

Hopefully, as I would hate to see us give up on Brown so soon. What I think it might be, is we see we are shallow at CB/FS and maybe a couple other positions and we are looking to unload some depth to get a solid player. Brown has a lot of upside, and is probably the only person we would be willing to part with that is worth something to trade.

They are seeking a DB. Brown, has tons of potential but lacks the instincts, Ravens want to win now.

Actually, he doesn't lack instincts. His instincts were pretty good. He was constantly around the ball.

The Ravens have never been a "win now" team.  We build dynasties.  We don't throw all of our eggs in one basket and then rebuild.

Funny thing is (as i noted in the other thread) We needed to activate Art Brown to cover those damn screens cincy klilled us with. As we very well know, Pitt loves screens as well. I'll feel better with Brown convering Dri Archer, Bell and Brown on those screens rather than Smith.

Just out of curiosity, who would you guys like to recieve from a Arthur Brown trade? I would personally like Micach Hyde or Michael Floyd.

Tramon Williams

Yeah Tramon would be a bad idea.. Floyd is the real deal at WR and could be a #1 in this scheme

Getting any above average/good CB with the squad we have would be a good idea in this scenario.

I think Minter and especially Foote put an end to any worries the cardinals had at ILB last night.

I was thinking more realistic.....Michael Floyd was a first round pick, and they targeted Fitz like 3 times yesterday. Floyd is going nowhere.

"Arthur Brown told me he was aware of trade rumors, says Ravens told him he's not on the trading block. Said he was flattered a bit." - Just twitted by Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider
